Liriano will push Liriano too hard. As far as I know, Tommy John construction takes one year, full recovery takes another. If the Twins and Liriano are smart, he's in the equation in 2009.Govs93 wrote:Gotta read up - it's just about that time of year!MNHockey75 wrote:Is he dead? I haven't heard anything about him in like 16 months.
He's ready to go, been throwing all of his pitches for a couple of months, but Baker is going to be the #1, and they're still not going to push Liriano too hard to start the year.
Meet your 2008 Twins!

Well , with the added players as profiled by IS, my hopes have been bouyed. Nice job IS. The heck with the Tigers and their additions.
22 million to spend and really nothing out there to spend it on. Attractive free agents like Thomas and Soriano aren't out there when we have the money.
Trade for somebody who van hit the Boofin ball. Lets go.

With his .232 lifetime average, he could pinch hit for more than a few Twins...Irishmans Shanty wrote:Livan Hernandez, more proof that the Twins think they are in the NL. Livan Hernandez is a tremendous hitting pitcher. Maybe they have plans of economizing the roster by having him DH a little.

Come on, we need our ptichers healthy and Livan can give us some much needed innings. Blame his high ERA in the NL for his manager leaving him in too long. His pitch count was very much abused previously but he can provide a grea workload plus experience for this young staff.
That is all,
