Where's the best place to buy gas on the way to the rink? [/b]

a little off topic, but one idea that worked really well (in Duluth anyway) was to have the "team meal" done by Olive Garden. The boys got their pasta and tomato or white sauce, chicken, salad, etc., for a reasonable price per family. I thought it was a great idea to replace the pizza night or even the potluck night (no hauling crockpots to the hotel!) One of the Centennial moms on our summer team thought of that one, it was amazing how a square meal helped everyone feel better. I don't know how much advance notice she had to give them, but it we did have to go pick it up and supply the beverages--they supplied plates, plastic silverware, serving spoons....everything else, it was great.
Grandma's sports garden (no plug intended), also offers something like this. They have a room upstairs that you can reserve, and they will provide a buffet for your team. The room is big enough for players and parents, the kids can play games and such downstairs. The room comes complete with it's own big screen tv, and fully stocked bar, with tender included. It's worked very well for us in the past.

good to hear it works at the sports grandma's, we have a team there this weekend. When our team did the Olive Garden meal, we took it as takeout and served it at the hotel, the restaurant included everything we needed-just to clarify that a little.

Does anyone know if the tournament issue of let's play hockey is out? I already stopped in at the local hockey store twice looking for it, which I think is a good sign. It's ninety degrees out and we are not at an arena :D (and obviously to cheap to get a subscription and have it mailed to us).
really?

The online version of LPH indicates the tournament issue has been printed - I assume it's at the stores, but I'm not sure.
