Goalie Coaching
My son found his passion for the nets playing his "turn" in b-mites at 7 years old, I didn't know what to think he was such a good skater- now he's first year peewee, and been playing goalie 5 full years now. Our association uses sessions at stauber 2 kids go together 9 times during the winter season. We have used The Goalie Club every year since he was 7 and have had great results, our association this year has a former varsity goaltender as one of our coaches (he has a little brother on the team) and we as parents and goalie talked to him about what and what not to work on, at this point no need to change "styles" per say, there is always plenty other aspects that can be worked on besides that.

Nice to have an excuse for each and every goal, ie d can't skate, forwards probably don't backcheck, light was in my eyes, skates weren't as sharp as they should have been, faced to many/to few shots, etc, etc. Glad you aren't a goalie on one of our teams!!!!!!!!!
99% of all players above squirts can probably skate better than goalies but that doesn't mean they would make better netminders.......passion and hard work, along with the 0 goal mentality no matter what, is a sign of a good goalie
Size is also a misnomer. I've seen some small (in stature) goalies totally dominate games from Pee Wee's through high school/college/juniors.

where did i say anywhere that i would be making excuses for every single goal? i dont see that anywhere, and if you did see it somewhere, you are taking it out of context.
if you are referring to the skating drills i posted on the first page, those help with movement, which makes the save.
or maybe you were talking about 98% of the goalies game skating and movement? its true, if you were to ever play in net, or watched a hockey game with any understanding of the position, you would understand that even though it doesnt seem like it, the goaltender does a lot more skating than any other player.
Goalies dont have to be the fastest kid on the team, but they cant be slow-pokes either. speed is vital for making a good save, and getting back into the net if a fluke puck bounce off the boards starts to head towards the net.
