Wolter is on line 1a. He plays with Villneauve and Sura. Line 1b is Swanson, Desmidt, and Fiala. They rotate who starts.

Lennartson was only out for the Duluth East game Friday, but not because he was injured...

From the Star Tribune

Strong start for Bears

The White Bear Lake boys' hockey team has taken on many parts of the state -- and beyond -- in starting the season 4-1.

The Bears knocked off Hastings, Fargo South, Moorhead and Duluth East before losing their first game this past weekend at Cloquet. Goalie Owen Collette has led the way, going 4-0 with a 1.88 goals-against average in four starts. Chris Fiala leads a balanced scoring attack with four goals and two assists.

"I expected this start," Fiala said. "I noticed it during tryouts when everybody was working so hard."

White Bear Lake doesn't play again until Saturday at home against Park of Cottage Grove.

All I have heard is he is not playing in Saturday's game against Park because of tardies. He must have screwed up pretty bad if he is not on the team anymore...

Anybody know if he was kicked off the team or is just on suspension?

From what I understand there was a paint ball incident and than a incident with the locker room last weekend. "V"and Deschmidt are gone from the team. However there was one other kid that was involved in the paint ball incident, which I believe is way more serious than the locker room deal. He got a 1 game suspension and with his history, he should have never been on the team in the first place.

I guess they shimmied into the locker room to get there skates, because the door was locked. I heard the Zamboni, guy told them to jump the wall. "I am not sure if that part is true or not" If it was true, than the only one that should have been disciplined is the Zamboni driver. I don't know if anything was missing or damaged, I get conflicting stories.

I guess this has been a long time coming for "V" he has been in and out of trouble all year. But I still think breaking into your own locker room to get your skates, is allot less serious than breaking into a house, if you get my drift.

With that said, I do not know what all of the circumstances were leading up to the final decision.

Whether it was justified or not I just don't know. I can only tell know what I hear.

So if you believe half of what you hear, it's probably allot closer to the truth. 8)

Watched his many "Implosions" during Elite2 this fall. To bad when he wanted to play he was good and had a ton of energy. But he really puts a team in a bad spot with stupid penalties. Either was in the box or sitting for fighting more then he played.

Where is Beau Arcand playing this year? Is he playing JV or what?

Not sure, but this will hurt the team "V" is a hustler, I never thought to much of "D"; and I think nothing of "L".

Here's how I see it.

No discipline + No authority = Trouble
No disipline + No guidance = Trouble
No discipline + Wrong friends = Trouble
No discipline + No respect = Trouble

With a capitol "T" So what does it sound like to you???????

There's 1 way out. GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with your analysis. "V" was definitely a hustler and a very entertaining to watch, but "D" didn't ever do much (except bear the brunt of chants from Centennial fans). Hopefully, the Bears will fight through this.

There are things I like about Sager, but team disipline is not one of his coaching strongpoints.

Is Sager's job in jeopardy? I hope not, Hill fans love the job he is doing there...

If it was Lennartson it is not the "L" player I was mentioning.

What do Hansen and Hartzell have to do with this??? Give it a rest already !! So what if they got into trouble 2+ years ago. They are both doing VERY well for themselves now.

Sager might not know that much about discipline, but you wouldn't know what to do with these guys either. I'm sure with all the problems over the past years, minor and major, Sager's head is just about ready to explode. Taking Lennartson was a mistake from the beginning, and Villeauve has caused trouble every since he was peewee.

The problem is that a lot of the trouble makers have been good players, making the decision of punishment hard for Sager. Personally, I think the decision to boot the players off the squad this time was a good choice. Villneauve has been nothing but bad news from the beginning and the other two probably didn't belong on the team as well, taking other spots from other dedicted players on JV, or 4th line varsity.

Overall, it's just a mess. We'll see how the Bears handle it and how they will play the rest of the season.

You ask what Jake Hansen and Eric Hartzell have to do with this. More than likely, other players look at what they did and just faced a suspension. Then they probably feel that they can do dumb and illegal things and stay with the team as well.

I commend Tim Sager for dropping these latest trouble makers from the team. It shows that he's not going to take any of this again.

Over confidence possibly? It was also Park's first win of the season.

The fact that people are pointing the finger at Tim Sager and the White Bear Hockey program for having a lack of discipline is ridiculous. You want to point fingers start with the kids themselves, and then their parents. Sager gave the players in question every opportunity to straighten up and fly right. A hockey coach can only control what a kid does on the ice.
