Ness best player in the state...........maybe. By far, that is ridiculous. You may want to get you head out of the sand. Can't eat much turkey with your head in a hole.
Aaron Ness carried his team to the state title last year as a sophomore, he has been playing very well against college competition this fall and is going to try to graduate a year earlier to play at the U. I cannot name any player with near the quality of resume as Ness. He controls the entire game and is superb in all zones.

Joe Gleason is very very good, however last year he tried to make to many offensive plays and left Joey Brehm in a very bad position almost every game. Fortunately Joey Brehm was one of the best defensive defenseman in the state last year and saved him. Gleason is more physical though, but you can't say better offensvely since Ness never had a defensive partner like Brehm.

Ness is one of the few defenseman who can take over a game. The offensive players in the last few years who could do that are very few and there are even less defensemen. If I had to make a list of the top of my head it would be Oshie, White, Wheeler, Niskanen, Brian Lee, Jay Barribal and Ness. Ryan McDonough could in his own zone. I can't think of any palyer this year that is in that category of truely great playern and not only a consistent game changer, but a game-maker. These players are the players that make something special happen every time they touch the puck, they are the Wayne Gretzkys and Michael Jordans of High School Hockey. I think Aaron Ness is in that category and I think it is fair to say he is the best player in the state by far because of that.

Gleason is an aggressive defenseman and he did step up a lot last year, but brehm was not put in many bad situations, gleason was aggressive because he knows he's faster then most he goes against, he steps and usually is successful in getting the puck but when he doesn't he is right back in position in a flash, to say he put brehm in bad situations just flat out isn't true.

I was not talking about defensively. His agressiveness defensively was great and worked perfectly with Brehm to stop many rushes. I was saying that occasionally he would join the offensive rush at inoprtune times when the hornets didn't have complete control of the puck and then the hornets would have a turnover and Brehm would be the only one back. Some of time Gleason would get back, some of the time Reber or amother player would get back, but Brehm had to stop enough two on ones to say that Gleason would occasionly put him in a bad spot.
