The NBA Officials Office just called me with the odds of the Bake Man finishing this thing off.

Why is it that you rarely see a no-hitter late in end game ended on a screaming liner off the wall or down the line? It's always some bleeder up the middle, or a Texas leaguer. That sucks.
And in case you fellas didn't notice it... yes, I was ignoring you guys while it was going on. I'm one of those superstitious types, and I want to punch Dick Bremer in the face. I blame him.

I just noticed the final kick in the nuts for the evening... Boblee has Baker on his fantasy team and started him against me. Great.

I'm not, anything bad that has ever happened to me while competing had nothing to do with someone somewhere else.

The same can't be said for Scott Baker. It's Dick Bremer's fault.

Scott Baker, you are a big league pitcher. Helluva performance. Too bad he came up 3 outs shy of the perfecto. Simply awesome.

Side note: Clay Buckholtz of Boston is no hitting the Orioles through 7

Thanks for the head's up, bob... I've been too busy watching the Gophers get spanked to notice anything else.
I just turned the game on MLB.tv... this kid looks like he has a Santana-ish changeup. He's making the Orioles look silly.
He's still going through 8. Being that he's this close, I would imagine ESPN or ESPN News will pick up this game for the top of the 9th.

Not as much hype as for Baker last night, but I'm sure it'll be on some channel.

They're scrolling on the bottom of ESPN that they'll air it for the 9th... Only this kid's 2nd MLB start. That's crazy.
You don't have this guy throwing against me too, do ya bob?!

He got it. Time to retire... it's all downhill from here, kid.

Uh... psst...
the hometown club lost the first game of the doubleheader yesterday. I don't think you can use that until Wednesday.

The front end of the DH on Fri. was a makeup from the last time the Royals were in town.
The brooms are still on standby for tomorrow.
