1991SeattleWA, I sure our kids were on the same team I looked at the roster, as far as the TRI CITY STORM TRYOUT we decided to pass at this time, the reason is my son recieved a invite from the lincoln stars, and the tryout is in omaha which is a lot closer, also the letter/email was adressed to my son the TRI CITTY STORM letter seemed to generic, well good luck in your hockey venture's

[quote="1991SeattleWAMy son was also at the Las Vegas Showcase, quite possible we saw each other there. He too has received an invite to the California futures camp. I was very happy that we attended the Vegas showcase, good hockey, good kids, good parents and good coaches. The information shaired by the coaches about Tier A and B hockey was valuable and in my opinion it was candid and honest. My son was offered and signed a Tender with one of the teams represented . . . although in hind sight we signed a bit premature . . . we are new to this and could have asked additional questons but we were impressed by the coach and signed largely in part on percieved integrity/value which we saw in him. . . and the excitement which was obvious in my son's eyes.

This gets back to one of the things I said in either this thread or another....coaches will tell you exactly what you want to hear. But, if your son signed a tender it was for Tier ll, probably the NAHL. That does not preclude him from playing in the USHL and btw, it is a nice insurance policy for anyone on the bubble of a USHL team.
