You will find it in Heisenberg's report early next week. Sandelin indicated he has 2-4 96 Icemen that will be making unofficial visits to UMD next week. \:D/

You know the link, but here it is anyway:

Breakout, you are officially my favorite poster on this forum. I'm laughing my butt off at your hilarious sarcasm. I can just imagine Lucia walking with a kid at recess or better yet at snack time and speaking to him about committing to play for the Gophers.

I find it ironic that some of you Bernie Bashers keep bringing up Lucia.
Wasent that Lucia's kid at the 93 Premire last week? I can't believe what a waste of time and money it is for them as there is virtually no chance of a D1 or NHL future.
No, wait a minute, you hockey experts keep telling me it's all about "GENETICS" so I take that back.

What people do with their time or money is nobody's business.
I'm sure they said the same things about Gretzky. Remember, Hockey's not the only thing people are over zealous about.

"Opinions are like Rectums, everybody's got one."
Reg, we're not bashing Bernie or Lucia, just finding humor in the idea Bernie is the new hockey Moses who is going to show people the promise land of Division 1 or the NHL before these kids hit puberty. I'm sure he does a fine job and has quite a list of successful alumni but some people need to quit drinking the Koolaid

I think the over zealous one missed some of the tongue and cheek vibe

The 96 machine went down to st. louis in june and played the #1 ranked jr. st. louis blues and went 1-0-2. The machine should have gone 3-0, they played in very close games which is unusual for them, it was great hockey to watch.
I heard things went just a little differently. The Jr. St. Louis Blues won the first game during regulation time. There was ice time remaining so the Jr. Blues coach asked the Machine coach if they would like to keep playing. Who leaves the ice before time is up...mortal sin. In the remaining time, the Machine scored. By some accounts, that made it a tie. By others, The Machine had already lost. Did hear that the third game was unbelievable. Two great teams.

Breakout,
Here's the thing I found most amusing about your posts, that mention our Gopher coach. At about the same time you reference the coach his kid is participating in a Bernie program ( i.e. giving money to Bernie) in the hope of going to Ann Arbor. If he realistically has no chance, for the bigtime, why? At what age should a dream start? Puberty?

I agree with the majority of your posts, but how parents want to develop their progeny (or spend their money) is none of my business. Hell, if there's drivers in our great state that don't know the difference between YIELD and MERGE (or care) how do you expect to convert these types to your way of thinking? Some learn the hard way.

Overzealous Me e e e. Some may consider over 800 posts in a little over a year "overzealous" bordering on the obsessive-complusive. :D

p.s. I'm glad some of you don't imbibe the KOOLAID, and please don't start, as the number of your post's may double. :)

p.s.s. Anyone know how watchdog's investigation is going?
I heard the machine are crazy good for their age..to include a recent split with the Kensington kids from outside St Louis..Tcachuks kids team that has 6 NHL sons playing on it and was the #1 ranked 96 team in the country last year..they are young, but still..
Just a quick clarification…the 96 AAA Blues are coached by MacInnis and have only 1 Skater who is the son of a former pro…They are a hard working team that play smart hockey
Tkachuk has a 97 …His son does Skate for the 97 AAA Blues but Tkachuk is only a Assistant coach on that team, they will play the Blades sometime in August at Chicago

The 97 AAA Blues are nowhere close to the 96 club..

In the 1st game of pool play @ the Machine Tournament (played tonight; 8/2):

'96 Blades beat the '96 Machine by a 5-1 score.

A very nice showing by the Blades' boys, particularly after a month off after drubbing the competition in the I-Cup Invite (in June) by a 44 to 2 margin.

were the refs that much against Bernie?
After the 50 minutes of post game lockerroom (encouragement)
the Machine looked a little sad on their way out with tie and shirt.

Congrats to the Blades, one of the best 96 teams in N America

Re-Match scheduled for next Sunday on NBC. Al Michaels is being flown in for the play by play. Don Cherry is being called in from Canada to do the color commentary. Additionally, Mr. Cherry will be doing a big feature about the game on a special addition of Hockey Night In Canada. Barry Melrose is scheduled to do interviews before the game and during intermissions.

Can't wait! \:D/

Do we have a final roster for the Machine yet? Lots of scratches coming.

No word on that. Obviously Bernie will look to re-load after that kind of effort.

Keep in mind, we need to be empathetic with the 96 Machine kids. After all, it was the biggest game of their lives

Looking forward to the re-match. Does the Machine or Blades offer a webcast? If so, what is the URL?

FYI, Don Cherry has asked his taylor to produce a blaze orange blazer for the big night. Barry Melrose has grown his mullet especially long for the tilt. Al Michaels is practicing his "do you believe in miracles" line (apparently, the 96 Blades are favored in Vegas by 2 goals).

Oh ya, heard Prince will be singing the National Anthem. He was asked after his outstanding performance at last year's Super Bowl. Of course, he will be going away from purple and sporting a tight fitting orange jump suit.

I think the web cast is on the their home broadcast channel of www.overindulgentparentlivingthroughmykids.com

if not that it might be replayed in Canada on Hockey night right after the Dodge ball league on the ESPN 8 the OCHO

Tomass...just wondering one thing..why does it always have to be "overindulgent parents living through there kid"?

For a lot of these folks, and I'm not one of them, they are in the realm for the first time with there son who happens to be a decent 8,9,10 year old. For many of them they just simply are having there own fun and enjoying what they have right now, wether it be with the parents they are with or their kids friends/teammates...

For many who come on here and just berate AAA hockey and spring stuff and all of that...I just wonder if you yourself were just never invited or participated or just simply had a bad experience...

I'm just saying that it's easy to sit there and throw the "living through your kids" statement, but for 99.9% of the folks out there..that's the furthest from the truth....not to be an apologist..

"we talkin bout practice...practice!!"...AI
