Sure you did boblee
Why is PW listed as coming out of Tri-City, USHL instead of Grand Rapids? Is Patrick already trying to rid himself of the hanger-ons such as boblee? What a slap in the face to my Rapidian friends!

Well go ahead and ask any of the people I watched the draft with at Mr. Wellivers graduation open house. Also, feel free to call up Patrick himself and ask him.

He did a before and after with Tri-City. So his most recent team would have been the Storm.

From insidecollegehockey.com draft notes:

"Speaking of White, it wasn't his choice that he was announced as having played for Tri-City of the United States Hockey League. White did play for the Storm — a dozen games. He spent the bulk of the year playing high school hockey for Grand Rapids (Minn.).

“That’s kind of a tough thing," White said. "I’d like to have Grand Rapids get credit. If anyone’s reading this, I’d like to get a lot of credit to everyone back there. It’s really fun to have all those people back there supporting me.”

Great little comment by Patrick White.

Also, Tyler Johnson-Not a surprise. Size is an issue, and he has broken each side of his collarbone in the last year, hence, injuries are an issue.

Reid Ellingson-A bit of a surprise, but a lot of goalies did not get selected.

Drew LeBlanc-Surprise.

What about Jordy Christian?

Very true on Jordy. I think Drew LeBlanc might have shown his weakness in ushl in his skating ability, do you agree Bob?

Jordy was a talented highschool player. Should have a nice career in College. Pros???? His potential is a question for the NHL.

Not the end of the world, to come out of college as a free agent. At times it can work as an advantage. 8)

His skating issue was well known before he hit the USHL. He may have put up the points in high school but that doesn't mean everything was masked.

If he is athletic, he can improve the skating..............if he has the desire.

John Pohl is a great example of that. Anyone remember the way he skated in his first year with the gophs? His hard work and dedication transformed his skating skills. Huge difference in skating ability in his senior year vs. sophomore year.

"The harder I work..........the luckier I get"

Which reminds me..............I better get to work :D

Proud moment for the Grand Rapids program. Pat and Joe are well-deserving young men who have worked very hard. Good luck in college and hopefully the NHL.
