Well said Shanty...I also have all the x-mas stuff put away, just one last chore but the Mrs. simply won't get on the roof to take the rest of the lights down??? :x
If she'd just finish that, I'd have it all done, and could focus on better things...Like posting important stuff here

No better way to take a cake down than allowing it to get a little top heavy, sometimes they can tip over all by themselves.

The weatherman is predicting it's only going to be a one flannel night, should be a rather balmy 18 degrees around puck drop against those Jacks tonight.

I don't normally buy into jinxes Puckster, either a team has the goods or they don't.

I for one, believe whole heartedly in your instincts and you know what, if they come to fruition, Bemidji will live to play again.

Yet again my three favorite hockey teams were all in action again last night. And to make it even better, two of them played each other.

I never even checked to see whether the Wild or Stars won, who cares, I'm a winner regardless.

The Pirates gave the Jacks all they had last night but still fell short. They lost by only two points and they even made the Jack goalie make more saves than their own.

Tubby and the Boys are sitting pretty pretty. They're already tied for 5th in the Big Ten and they haven't played a game yet :!:

This sports scene is trully blessed and it's almost as if it's a dream come true.

I do appreciate the reference to us being blessed.

And its true. IS has mentioned the weather and how great its been.

He is right and the by products of this great season are worth mentioning.

I , for one, just love that irregular white pattern on my garage floor that is left by the salt that we are so blessed to have for our roads. The snow boogers that fall off of our cars and are left to lay on the garage floor to melt and then freeze are a Godsend.

Then, when we track it all into the house, it's just swell.

Ill tel yah, the Minnesota winters are "Like a Dream Come True"
And without high school hockey, what would we do?

Very similar to the look on Kevin Mchale's face as he.................. what ever it is that he does.

But the Wolves are holding at 4 wins and this far into the season , that 's pretty good.

The Wild have settled into being a .500 club.

The Gophers beat Wayne State. Now thats what Im talkin bout.

Tubby's boys came within 5 or 6 points vs Michigan State and the local press is gushing about it like it was a trip to the final 4.

Gotta love this weather...to nice, and well flannel would be overkill.
Days are getting longer, and heck it'll be spring before we know it. :D
Then there's my Rogers team beat Princeton and Cambridge :D
goals for 12, against 0, in the all powerful Mississippi 8 conference  "It's Like a Dream Come True" but Hopkins is coming up on the schedule soon, and that, well...... could be a "Nightmare"

Whatching OSU get kicked around last night brought back dreamy thoughts of our Gophers and their new head coach.

Think about how our boys were able to avoid winning a game in a conference where the top teams get beat on like a drum on the national stage.

I gotta tell yah, its encouraging.

But with the new stadium on campus .."Its Like a Dream Come True"

Two nights ago the Stars and Wild hooked up again, I don't even know who won but I know I came out a winner.

The Pirates couldn't stretch their win streak to two last night but only lost each period two point infinite 3's to zero. They'll be raidin' again tomorrow so not much time to sit around and worry.

The Wolves weakened their draft position last night by taking advantage of a team that has now lost eight straight.

Clem and the boys, yes Clem and the boys were in action last night on channel 220. I don't know if they won or not but the 20th ranked Lewis & Clark led Gophers were giving Mateen Cleaves and Tom Izzo's 4th ranked Spartans all they could handle. Pryzbylla was looking skinny, Miles Tarver's mustache was as elegant as ever and the Barn was rockin' again. It's good to see the Gophers back on national TV and in the polls again.

I've been living and dreaming well nearly everynight but last nights was trully like a dream come true.

IS's Dreams of better times bring back a lot of good memories.

But the memories are now tainted. As are most memories of Gopher Bball prominence from Musselman to Clem.

If Tubby could give us some success withourt all the bull crap, it would be......well, it would be "Like a Dream Come True"

After the Big 10 win against Northwestern, the Gophers have a new "Coach for Life". Bullcrap or no Bullcrap.

Another great day.

People so love the cold and snow in the winter but the greatest thing about it is that the sun never shines. You never have to worry about where your sunglasses are or even if you have a pair.

Speaking of sunny outlooks, how bout doze TWolves? They snuck a fifth win in on me and I didn't even notice. A whole handful and its only the middle of Jan. Dreamy.

The Wild are changing hands. Thats exciting. Especially since the new owner is not form Minnesota. Maybe he will move them and we can start over again.

Its all so great , I mean, its..... well, "Its Like a Dream Come True"

That's kind of "Nightmarish" :?

I heard Craig Leipold's interview on the old neighbor last night, and he sounds like a very "Dreamy" new owner, he said he is maintaining a partnership with Bob Naegele and sounded very excited about this.
He also made it clear that his interest in the club, had a lot to do with the fact they have such a high attendance and fan support, and that's what he just got away from in Nashville low attendance and less then desirable fan support.
He's not going to move this team from what I gathered.

Anyway another Friday :D and a great weekend filled with promise ahead.

Its Friday night and I'm away from the Mrs.
ITS LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE!

I'm sitting in a shack in the land of Ballard.
ITS LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE!

I'm stocked with both beer and booze for the weekend.

What a sweet deal Neut...Dreaming That I wish I was there!!! but PB posted this classic early on, in the quest to realize our Dreams http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tigqIBlwubw, and it really sums up the thread.
We have to continue not to let others get in the way of our dreams, so a repeat is really in order.

The Rams he labeled "out of it" since 1992
Are defending their crown admirably this year
Undefeated, yes "The Great One's" words are true.

He couldn't pick a winner
If it were a one horse race
But slappy's team looks good this year
The train is on a good pace

Without his prognostications
We wouldnt know what to do
If the Rams were to win it all again
For slaphooter," Its Like a Dream Come True "

The only consistent thing about slappy is that we'll know what he said after the results have come in...

Quite honestly, Neut... after you and I started this week 0-4 in the Pick 'Em, it's a strategy we may want to consider for week 7.

I'd rather be wrong all the time. If your right all the time, you've turned into my wife.
