Read a tweet from Dave Schwartz that stated that last night's speakers at the AA pre-Tourney banquet included both a NHL agent whose topic was something like "You don't have to leave Minnesota to play great hockey" and the president of the High School Coaches Association himself.
I know that nearly everyone who attended that banquet has better things on their mind today, but it'd be great if somebody who was there could eventually give a recap. Did the agent mention Alec Baer with Pauly sitting right there at the head table? Did Ken's homily touch on the subject? Inquiring minds want to know!

So Wednesday in St Paul they had a banquet for the players, parents and coaches at the Minnesota High School Tournament.
One of the speakers was agent Neil Sheehy. He went on at great length saying things like, "don't leave high school early - do not go the WHL or OHL route - you will have better success staying in Minnesota and playing college hockey."
Parents tonight told me how it was a turn off and how they felt badgered and sort of pushed into a corner.

Neil Sheehy and Ken Pauly are friends, and Pauly recommends Neil's agent services to the BSM hockey players.
Any idea how the KIDS felt about it ? You'd think that would be what really mattered.......Stick Save wrote:I wasn't there, but received a note from another about this...almostashappy wrote:Read a tweet from Dave Schwartz that stated that last night's speakers at the AA pre-Tourney banquet included both a NHL agent whose topic was something like "You don't have to leave Minnesota to play great hockey" and the president of the High School Coaches Association himself.
