Where are all of last year's sophomores from EP? I see the goaltender (Ford) and Molenaar but that's it.

They should make certain they pick the top 100 players that year regardless of what grade they are in. Thats all...thanks for your time Mr. Maturity.
You are welcome.
I know this horse is dead. But I need to kick it. My apologies.

Onward, yes a "goal" of the Elite league is to prevent players from early departure of the MSHSL for various other junior league opportunities. This doesn't mean they don't want Seniors in the league in order to give underclassmen better scouting chances. In fact the league used to be almost exclusively for Seniors and top tier Juniors only. The league was there so those Sophomores didn't jump ship since they had the scouting opportunity of a lifetime ahead of them. Now you see Sophomores and Juniors [aka some of the listed above] who utilize the league to jump start their career even earlier. So it really is a lose-lose situation. So in conclusion my point is kids will leave early no matter what incentives you give them [unless it's under the counter money haha]. But if you choose to take less talented younger players to keep them in High School hockey, you affect the integrity of the league, because after all, isn't the idea to take the best players still?
