well being from Chaska I will give you my very biased predictions (NEEDS)

EP red needs to beat Jefferson and make them draw more than 14 minutes of penalties because.......

Chaska beat Tonka earlier this year so the boys will have a hot shot attitude like they did against Jefferson. The attitude that they beat them once they will beat them again. That is a wrong attitude to have in any competition, especially D6.

Chaska needs to win and not take STUPID, NEEDLESS, penalties and have EP red take Jefferson to the woodshed.

If Jefferson and Chaska tie for 5th Jefferson goes because they win the head to head. Chaska can tie with points with Edina white but Edina has 4th over Chaska with head to head total points.

The Chaska vs Tonka game friday is huge and could also be the preview to the first wild card game next game if Chaska comes and lays an egg Friday night like they did against Jefferson.

Right now White is sitting in 4th place and their schedule is done. Do they hold tiebreakers over Chaska, Black, and Jefferson?

Tie breakers scenarios

Post by blueblood »

Edina White owns tie breaker over Jefferson

Jefferson holds tie breakers over both Chaska (Win and Tie) and EP Black (2 wins)

These scenarios will need to look at the FPP's for the games in question:

Chaska & EP Black tied in their only meeting

Edina White & Chaska split their 2 games

Edina White and EP Black split their 2 games

I believe they do over Chaska because of Chaska's inability to gain the hep point during their win over white last time they met. The two teams split during the regular season. The only way this wouldn't be true is if white lost their hep point in their early season win over Chaska. I think they earned it in that meeting

Black and Jefferson I am not close enough to the situation to know

White and Black split their two games this year, and I know White lost their HEP point in the first game between them (check from behind . Not sure about the HEP points in the second meeting, but if both earned the HEP point in the second match, I think Black could move ahead of White if they get 3 points in their final against Red.

From my calculations this looks like the D10 playoff picture

1. Chisago Lakes 1 point behind leader Elk River with 1 to play vs. N.Branch
2. Elk River
3. Centennial Red
4. Blaine
5. Champlin Park
6. St. Cloud Red
7. Pine City
8. Princeton

There may be a little shuffling do to tiebreaks in the middle but no one can get above Princeton, the seeds may change but the berths cannot.

District 3

1. Wayzata Blue - 2 point lead over Blake with Orono and Maple Grove left
2. Blake - Got to pull for MG to beat Blue on Monday and keep HEP points against bruisers Brooklyn Park and Cooper/Armstrong
3. Maple Grove - Has to get at least one point from blue and all 3 from Orono to get 3rd seed from Gold
4. Wayzata Gold - Done with League games has to depend on MG to fumble for 3rd spot
5. Cooper/Armstrong
6. Brooklyn Park
7. Orono - May beat Hopkins with 7th seed without any wins! Fair play point haunting
8. Hopkins

3 go to West regional top 2 are locks who will fight out the 3rd?

I believe D3 and D10 maybe a little more cut and dry. D6 is going to be some of the best hockey in a long time. I would encourage everyone to come watch if you are interested at all in hockey. I know I will be there. Probably not until after the wild card is decided but the playoffs for sure.

D6 Dog Fight

Post by Puckhead2 »

Does anyone know the deal with Jefferson not getting HEP point vs Chaska the other night? I beleive tomASS reported that Jefferson acheived the HEP that night but on the D6 standings it looks to not be the case... tomAss weren't you there?

I was not. I was in NYC and wife wife just told me the results.

She only recalled Jefferson getting a 2/10 for checking from behind and thought that was their only penalty. She would have had to miss by two if she was mistaken.

Sorry I don't know anything else.

Im also a little confused on why they didn't get there HEP point, all I remember was the checking from behind and one other minor penalty,

Regarding D10...if Centennial Black beats Centennial Red Friday night and wins their FFP-they will tie Princeton however Centennial Black will win the tie breaker. (they have had more wins and less losses than Princeton) "It's not over till its over!"

Jags did get there HEP point. The standings are wrong and D6 has already been notified. Jags had 1 check from behind and one additional penalty to be right on that lucky number of 14 minutes. Should be another thriller tonight as the Jags have to beat EP Red and keep there HEP to lock up 4th place! EP Red not playing for much so will be intersting to see how they come out after losing to Green last night.

If Red plays like they did last night, chalk one up for the Jags. I was expecting much more from them, but than again, Green didn't exactly bring down the house. Green dominated the first period but Red led 1-0. Red seemed to haver the better of the play after the midway point but Green put in 2 to Reds 0.

Who owns the tiebreaker between Edina Green and Burnsville? It looks like if Burnsville wins against Minnetonka the would be tied for 2nd.

I know that nobody cares about district 1 but does someone know the score of the Highland central vs. Minnehahah game that was played tonight? I think that it started at 6:45.

If so please post the score. It would be appreciated.
