Well it's all just great today!! my Rogers team got spanked by a terrible Coon Rapids team last night, and well it was Like a Nightmare but that's all over too, just like last nights game
So today it's well, how do they say it ???
Anyway here is my selection today as it goes with my frame of mind on our team this year.

So dont be sad.
There no boo,hoo, hoo
You're watchin your favorite team
And "Its Like a Dream Come True"
The high schoolers have started
Getting their feet a little wet
Its all "Up for Grabs"
Nothing established just yet
We really dont know nothin'
'Bout who'll be at the big event
They'll be surprises galore
Just "Wait Until Lent"
But we need to start our new themes
To all the old threads bid adieu
Ah, the Road to Constantinople
"Its Like a Dream Come True"

Its all "Up for Grabs"

Well, what another great day.
Our area was just recognized for being Hockeytown, USA.
But soon the title will be expanded to Sportstown, USA.
I mean consider the following:
The Gopher Bballers just beat a team from So Dakota by 6 points. What a thrill.
The Wild are solidly in 2nd place by a point and a hefty 4 points out of last place. Impressive play lately has catipulted them to these lofty heights.
The Twolves only lost by 4 but even better they have hung on to their impressive 3 win total for quite awhile. What a great organization form top to bottom, year in and out.
The Twins have signed Craig Monroe. Thats right, Monroe will make us forget about all the previous high level free agent signees the Twins have brought in such as...........well see, there you go, forgot already.
With all this great news , I just dont kow what to do
Just sit back and enjoy cuz "Its Like a Dream Come True"

Any and all are welcome and encouraged to throw in about out how great things are with their favorite team or whatever.
I am a changed poster. No more "Nightmareish" thinking for me. That's been locked out of my existence.
Its sugar and spice and everything nice from here on in.
I've got my mind right.
Just like this guy did after gettin his dirt out of Boss Kean's ditch.

How did you get your hands on this shot of GW Bush on the chain gang during his "youthful" drug and alcohol years? You must have some high-up connections. 60 minutes would love to have that one!packerboy wrote:Any and all are welcome and encouraged to throw in about out how great things are with their favorite team or whatever.

I am sure playing football back in the NFL is "Like a Dream Come True".
It will certainly help with the massive recruiting efforts being undertaken at CDH. Money is no object, we are all rich and the kids get a lot of cash to come to CDH.
But when an alumnus is in the news for sports it really helps because as so many of the geniuses who post the forum know, the kids al go there primarily because of sports.
When this hits the news there will be nobody attending public schools anymore.
In my personal opinion all of the US Americans, as such, will be going to CDH so the Iraqui South Americans, as such , can have maps for our children.
Ill tell you, the stuff these kids are learnin in school, "Its Like a Dream a Come True"

As much as I admire and respect our President , who will no doubt go down in history as one of our greatest statesmen ever, Ole Luke shouldnt be confused with our beloved "W".
Thats my boy Luke, he gotta grin like a baby and a bite like a gator.

I know this thread is about the positive but I can't help wondering what the Twins record would have been had RonDL not been on the juice?
On a good note the Gopher roundballers stuck it to those SoDak Jackrabbits last night, thank goodness I have the Dish and get to watch these key early season matchups. Tubby inked a deal for 7 more years, I think he'll bring a whole lot of stability to the program. I'm actually excited for the Big Ten season to roll around.

Another vacation day today! Its like a dream come true! I've got some errands to run, but I'm kinda waiting for the witches, well diggers and brass monkey warning to expire. Stay warm Jack Daniels!
I had a little episode with dogzilla (pointing dogs are a leeetle high strung) that almost brought down the chrismas tree. Were downstairs looking out the slider where we keep the birds fat. Squirrels come by often enough to keep me busy wiping the dogs drool spots off the floor. She's a pointer like I said, and just freezes when they come. I'm not fond of the little rats and I get a kick out of letting 'zilla out for a good chase. She's caught one so far this year, couldn't quite make the leap from the deck to a tree and she never let it hit the ground.
I heard a bang at the window and assumed another chickadee made an ill-fated attempt to get out of the cold. Then I heard another bang, and another. I looked up to see a wild turkey pecking at the window and 'zilla holding the most beautiful point I've ever seen!
Well even the best pointing dogs can only "stand so much/can't stands no more" and went ballistic.
Manny's for lunch today! Life is good!

I haven't been there in a couple years, but if I recall it was the cigar smokers haven... and has great wines.Neutron 14 wrote:Another vacation day today! Its like a dream come true! Some of the thickest cuts of meat I've ever seen, and gigantic lobsters.
Cool to have turkeys on the deck...maybe you should let him get one?? for a dog "It's like a dream come true"
I gotta tell ya, I'm thrilled that you have the day off, Neut, but it got me to thinking about my own dog. I'm not much of a hunter, so I never really bothered looking for a pointer/lab type dog, but I'm thinking that maybe I made a mistake. I mean, they can be helpful in ways other than hunting. Now I know it's tough to tell based on sight alone, but just by looking, would you think I might be able to work with my animal this weekend and get it fetching my beer & slippers in time for the holidays?Neutron 14 wrote:Another vacation day today!
