4AA Hockey
Well, my 2 (Mpls Novas)- 1 (Stillwater) prediction is only a prediction and I certainly have been wrong before. It is true that the Novas play a weaker section then Stillwater so who knows it may be a Stillwater blowout. I guess we'll see when the final score is in.

Hey, I do like your optimism!!anderc14 wrote:Well, my 2 (Mpls Novas)- 1 (Stillwater) prediction is only a prediction and I certainly have been wrong before. The 1st was back and forth, great chances on both ends, 1-1. CDH had a goal waived off (supposedly 'kicked in')--the girl made no kicking motion but the ref thought that if he yelled really loud that he could 'sell' the call but it was dead wrong. WBL dominated the 2nd but couldn't score (Jondal was awesome). 3rd was back and forth again, great action. WBL dominated the OT until #5 from CDH beat both D and put it in the 5 hole.

It seemed more like they just didn't have strong enough forwards to crack the defense of Cretin.hockeywild7 wrote:It seemed as though WB ran out of gas. They didn't get many shots late in the game even when they had a couple of powerplays. Play was very even throughout the game in my opinion with Lenz making a couple great saves to keep the game going.
My take,
CDH played maybe 8 or 9 girls the whole game and was the difference. Wild, Carlson, Jondahl and Keys were very good and they wanted it more. They won't be able to do that against Roseville. WBL coaches seemed to play everyone which allowed 4 or 5 3-1, 2-1's and you can't do that in big games. WBL's late powerplays were awful. Lenz was awsome but it wasn't enough. Lenz made the save of the game on a late powerplay by CDH. Wild came in form from the point and one timed a shot that Lenz somehow got the glove on.
I noticed that the shot keeper wasn't putting up shots for WBL in the 3rd period or OT.
CDH's non allowed kick in goal was definitley a kick her foot went towards the goal and up! It happend pretty fast. I have the game on tape.
WBL had a goal that Jondahl gloved behind the line and brought back. Great play by Jondahl.
Goal was scored on a break down one side 1st D forced her outside like she supposed to. CDH's #5 put a backhand shot on net and it went in.( any goalie will tell you that backhands are hardest to save. She didn't exactly beet both D. It was a great OT goal. Great game.
