Quote from the High School League staff member in today's article""Even if you don't have data, you can't argue with our rationale, which is safety of the students," Perry said." So we don't know if the 2 and 10 for checking from behind helped or hurt so lets make the penalty mor...

I am talking about the right of way to step out anywhere on the street with your hand out and stop traffic. Crosswalks certainly help. From a study done in Seattle Does Enforcement of Pedestrian Right-of-Way Laws Increase Driver Compliance? "The authors have been unable to demonstrate that law ...

Years ago in some Canadian cities they made a stong law that pedestrians in the crosswalk had the right of way. Therefore peds started believing that they had the "right" to step into the walk whenever they wanted no matter the situation. Putting themselves in a dangerous situation. The re...

Officials

If it was the same crew that did the Roseville vs. Wayzata game recently I can understand the frustration of the fan. I watched the video of the Wayzata game last night and it was as bad as I saw in person.

Injured Benilde Player

I was 20 feet away when this happened. This is the wrong time to make uninformed comments behind a internet name on this situation. This boy is gravely hurt and all our efforts should be to support all involved.
The hockey world can work on solutions later.

Prior Lake vs. Wayzata

I thought PL was a very good team. Hustled and physical. Shots were 2-1 for Wayzata but PL played their game well. PL goalie had good game. Good OT win for them.

WHL vs. USHL and NCAA

Who's puck has it right. After investigating and visiting WHL and USHL teams there seems to be only two differences. 1.The players get the living stipend in the WHL and the billeting family gets it in USHL and 2. The NCAA has chosen the USHL as its development league and not the WHL. No matter what ...

Lopsided score

In the Wayzata- Minn East 14-0 game last night the 2 JV players that were suited up and the 3rd lines played the last 15 minutes. This included the 2 3rd line D that played the last 15 minutes without a break. The Minn East and Wayzata players, coaches and parents handled the whole game well. Maybe ...

So if the rule doesn't get enforced it will get better? Many years ago the then Mayor of NY proved that if you enforce all the laws crime will go down.

Bantam A State

The TRF hockey people did a great job, working late into Friday night, at making sure the little Ralph was available for the Sat and Sun games. The Huck was also a great place to play. There were some problems for some people with hotels. Some teams had to split up and a couple had to stay in margin...

Bemidji did great and almost won the game. The coaches from Bemidji clearly had their players ready to play Wayzata and came close. Wayzata had just a little more at the end.

DE/MSP-PK game

You all seem to be focusing on the player being taken down. However I heard from a MP father that maybe the call was made because the MP player covered the puck in the crease? Also the tournament is being run very well. I apologize for being critical that not all games are at the Little Ralph. The H...

State site

I am sure the tournament will come off as fun for all. We all realize this is something to be grateful for. However this is a little like having a tournament on the Xcel site and having all but the Championship at Roseville. It is amazing that people would get upset with those that are disappointed ...

Bantam A State

There are going to be a lot of upset players, coaches and parents to go that far and not play all games at the Little Ralph. The main attraction to go that far is the arena. Also I expect the ice will be very bad after they take up the floor. Great scheduling of a 4pm Sunday championship game! Very ...

Maroon and Gold

I agree with Elliot. This is some very proactive coaches setting up their non-district games/"scrimmages" ahead of time with a group of teams they want to make sure they play during the year. Anyone can do it. Worked out great for teams like Rochester and Duluth to make sure they can play ...

How come Edina continues to take so many penalties?
Because they are coached to play that way.
