Good thread. Since I don't have a life I read it all. AN is a wonderful HS player. He will be a true freshman next year. It is a leap. I would like to be able to enjoy him for at least 3 years as a Gopher and then we will see. Comparing him to 3 NHL veteran defenseman is a little premature. I will r...

BSM has Ken Pauly behind the bench. He is possibly one of the best game coaches around. He has 2 A Champs to his credit and took a average Minnetonka team to the AA tournament 2 years ago.

Warroad vs LDC

It is true that Warroad lucked out and played Orono in the 2004 State Quarters. The score was Orono 2 Warroad 1 in OT. Those dirty rotten Warriors have lukced out again!

STA will not repeat. They should beat Orono. Remember the 2004 quarters though. Highly favored Warroad overconfident, brash filled with NHL draft choices and D1 players. Hubris can get you.

PS: all schools without district boundries should play at the top of their class!

Hey Hockeywatcher I have a job!

What is your point hockeywatcher? You have made 12.12 post per day since you joined. Does the board now have a post per day requirement to make observations? If so how many do I have to post before I gain your respect? 2 or 6 or 10 per day all of them clever and insightful? If you really want my opi...

STA's rebuilding from 3-24 in 02-03 to 25-5-1 and a state A championship in 05-06 is often overlooked. If they come through again this year will the consider moving up to AA?

STA 5 Orono 2 Who was the last back to back class A champ?

I stand corrected. 1991 Hill beat WBL in the sections finals. 92 was a 3 seed 6 seed matchup. Moundsview did win.

I am not sure who wins this game but to my knowledge New Prague has never beaten Orono going back to the 2000 section quarters where Jimmy K as a 9th grader ran the goalie, saluted the crowd and was benched for the rest of the game by his coach. Maybe this is the Trojans year.
