Cause they get ice time over a player that is at the same caliber, giving them an advantage with real game time experiance. I haven't heard of too many Dad's cutting there own kid.

Alex Lyon is the real deal, facing 60 shots a night and doing a great job, No doubt he will play at a D1 school and be very succsessful! He plays his angle as good as I have seen. His composure in net is outstanding, never rattled and alway plays 150% Good luck to him, I look forward to seeing him a...

OK, thanks. Next question: What is so special about a hockey game being played outside? See if you can answer that question without all the poetic narratives about "when we were kids." Like I said in a previous post, I'm old enough to have played a large number of youth hockey games outsi...

You can call it whining all you like, I just don't get all the nostalgia surrounding these outdoor games. Personally, I think it's overdone, whether with the NHL doing their outdoor games or High School. The only reason the game was played outdoors 40 years ago was because we had to, not because we...

Count me among the many that are sick of the "old time hockey" aspect of televising outdoor games. I don't care WHERE the game is played. If the ice conditions are favorable, play outside. But if not, play the game indoors. If they knew the rising temp and high sun, combined with the fact...

Re: Moorhead at Bemidji

Where do you get that Moorhead is the favorite? Just asking! Same. Bemidji, IMO, is the favorite but not by a large margin. I still think it will be a close game. 8) 12 of Bemidji's 19 wins are vs class A or North Dakota teams. The other wins are vs non-ranked AA teams. Bemidji is 0-1-1 vs ranked A...

I am going to give Bemidji the edge on this one right now too. They have three good lines. And a goalie that is playing at the top of his game right now.

Yet another loop hole has been found in the system, the kid wants to play in the most impressive state tournament in the country. And has a good chance to. We all know about he North Dakota State tournament. It does not hold a candle to the MSHSL Tourny. To bad the kid got put through the ringer fro...

Roseau played better, switched up the lines a little. Like I said Strand in the net they just seam to play better in front of. Pluse he plays his angles so well. D is still pinching though, still can't figure that out. No# 3 pinches alot causing to many odd man rushes. Good teams that will cost them...

Roseau played terribley, and the goaltender that started apperantly wasn't up for the game. second period they had 4 shots on goal and 3 goals. Makes it tough for the team. I would think they would stick with Strand now. Roseau came out Saturday and played a better game. In front of Strand. Although...

Whats a non-hockey simpleton? I will say that last call was bad. But I think they still had the option of killing the penalty. Or did the refs put the puck in the net? what we have learned is that Roso is the best. Warroad cheats. Why can the fine people of Roso not realize that in the last 20 year...

Could you give us more information? Wondering if Hasbargen bought those guys a burger before the game. Ok two evenly matched teams. Roseau beat Moorhead once, Brainerd did not. So I give the edge to Roseau. Oh yes and the fact that all the coaches voted Roseau 2 and Brainerd 3

The spuds have to find a way to contain Knochemus and Omdahl. This is going to be a great game but containing that Roseau first line is key. There quick and move the puck really well. They crash the net and do everything a good offense does. I don't know much about Moorhead but am expecting quite a...
