NEWsguy you missed by light years. To even put Edina or Roseau or any top 10 team from A or AA in this thread makes me wonder if Pizza Hut got the wrong mushrooms on your pizzas. :-k I came over to this area to see what was cookin' and saw this thread; read through it and was more than sligh...

if junior gold is so good how about a junior gold all star team vs edina or roseau. can you say a$$ kicking? No one is saying its great! But there ARE good players in the league. And if you took a group of the top Jr. Gold players (which would consist of former Varsity players) and let them play to...

Sid the Kid Crosby uses an composite stick with a flat blade, he told the media after the penguins played the wild. What do you think about that? Whats your point? That because one of the, if not THE best player in the NHL uses a composite stick... that means its the best way to go for EVERYONE?

This may sound like a stupid question (I'm a goalie Dad) What is the flex rating on these dam composite sticks? Higher # more flex or less? Looking to buy my goalie a regular stick for Christmas, but want to get one that will work. Any help would be appreciated!!! Not a dumb question at all. Most p...

By no means are they power houses of the state, nor the conference... but Simley vs SSP are always very entertaining games. I mean the schools are no more than few miles away... On top of that, for some reason you have kids from both cities changing between the two schools. So you have the pure hatr...

i'd say that Saint Thomas Arena is up in the top 5. It has great ice, and amazing seating. also, i think that the new Herb Brooks place and rink in the super rink is pretty cool. and yes the barn is a cool place. the ice is hard and almost perfect, but it is freazing in there I would have to comple...

If I may post my opinion. H ere is what makes Varsity so popular, first there is a great amount of popularity there , second there a bunch of overly involved parents to talk up their team, and third a lot of kids also talk up their team. The youth forum is pretty much the same. In my theory, in add...

As a former player... this is going to be the easiest question to answer! I played HS for 3 years, and was cut my senior year. Almost quit all together but most of my friends also were cut, and we all decided to play JG. And to this day, I don't regret it for one second. I had more fun playing JG th...

I would put a million dollars down saying most, if not all JGA teams would win a game with any JV team. You have to be retarded to think the only reason players are on JG is because they aren't good enough to play V. Like its already been mentioned... there are tons of good players who don't play va...

All teams in D8 make playoffs, so they did make playoffs. Also, we did not split them making one team better then the other, we split the IGH kids in half, and the other coach was from SSP and wanted the SSP kids, so he took half the IGH kids, and all the SSP kids, then all the Rosemount boys who h...

Could someone give me a play by play of what franchise did? I actually wasn't at any of the games today (went to the Gopher Final Five game, and had an intense pregame, so couldn't make it). Any way, did the player franchise hit get hurt or what actually happened. Either way, from the sounds of it, ...

Wow, D-8 teams just raping the metro. 12 goals from the 2 D-8 teams, 12 goals by the 6 metro teams. Well I didn't see the Woodbury game but IGH throttled Eden Prairie. EP got a lucky 2nd goal and the third was a nice shot from in close... a result of a terrible play of the IGH D-man but it didn't ma...

How are you going to forget one of the best teams??? Not to take anything away from the others, but IGH is rated number 2 in the State for a reason.

Well if they were on there that would be my vote so you can add a tally for them!

Woodbury jumped out to a 2-0 lead. IGH-Red scored with under 2 minutes remaining in the 3rd to win.
Big rematch tomorrow night. Outta be a good one.

Does anyone know if B. Buhl (Woodbury's goalie) will be playing or is he still sick?
