The top four in 1A are very even. Luverne, Waseca, Windom or Austin could even sneak in a surprise win. Sounds like a great 1A playoff to me. With a hot goalie and 110% effort 1A does NOT need to get pounded in State. With eaglescouto6 attitude his team need not represent 1A in St Paul.

What difference does it make? How about 2 or 4 quality games 20 miles away rather than searching 100+ miles for a meaningless game sound?

Agree with puckhanler. It amazes me New Ulm doesn't play the two Mankato schools. Why play each other all through youth levels and then not at HS level? Come on grow up and move on!!

Could it be New Ulm is used to playing on that slush they call ice and can't play on real ice?

Nothing has been said on this yet but a big week coming up for sectional seedings. Starts Saturday with Albert Lea at Marshall. A must win for Albert Lea to maintain first seed and a must win for Marshall to get anyting higher than a third or fourth seed.

I'm taking the Tigers in this one.

Here is how they look today. Marshall will control their own destiny from 1 to 4 playing their next three games against the other top 4. Albert Lea and West wins over Marshall will keep them 1 and 2. Good start on the predictions but Marshall should be 3 since they beat New Ulm. East should be last since they won't bear anyone from here on out. Marshall, West and Albert Lea all play each other yet so the last two weeks will determine the order of the top three.

Luverne played a nice game and took advantage of all their chances. At the same time shots were 56 for Marshall and 22 for Luverne. Luverne goalie gets a lot of credit.
