Good Topic But...

Speed and which is the most important type of speed is definitely in the eye of the beholder. Are you referring to top speed, acceleration, cornering speed, quickness, or one of the multiple other unique facets of speed?

Players like Levine, Barriball and many others have unique assets in re...

I haven't heard anything about players coming from EP, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

Got Schmuck

Ignore Gotpuck as he or she is obviously either a kiddie or an adult with an inferiority complex and a fifth grade vocabulary. I say congrats to AHA, but to say they dominated the Jags is intellectually bankrupt, so Gotpuck isn't worth the time. I don't know why a few AHA fans feel the need to dump ...

Re: 6AA in 2005-06

Everybody knows that anything can happen any year in 6AA playoffs. Jefferson, EP, Edina & Tonka all have solid youth programs that continue to feed the high schools, so they will always be at least solid. Jefferson & Edina have HS traditions that tend to propel rebuilding years forward. Lind...

Re: keaton vs austin

Gotpuck (but get real) - You obviously don't understand the Lake if you place so many chips on the 2nd AV game. Jefferson would have smoked AV in the section final just like they did EP, they were virtually untouchable that night. End of story.

Re: 6AA in 2005-06

No, the difference is not that great but only if there is enough of that talent still poised to come in, which there is, I was just pointing out the details, that's all. I was a bit disappointed watching Nick Olson this year, he has much more speed that he was showing. It could've been a JV thing, b...

Re: 6AA in 2005-06

Koren - The championship you're referring to was a Peewee A team, not Bantams. Levine, Hovey, LaBombard & Dieter were on that team with Mueller. Schofield will come up from the JV next year, he was on that team as well and he will surprise a lot of people next year. Dupont was at Kennedy at the ...

6AA in 2005-06

I'm especially interested in everybody's opinion of Edina & EP next year. Jefferson is losing quite a few seniors, but they should have more than enough to remain solid, and more than in the hunt in playoffs.

I don't see Edina with any uptick next year, while EP should be solid and one of...

Re: section 5AA

Rosemount will not be in a position to challenge AHA in sections - not even close! Nowhere near the depth of speed required. 5AA continues to be too soft a section for my taste. If the MSHSL had been smart, they would have taken AHA and the top tier of 6AA and distributed them evenly between the two...

Re: Matson

Any talk about Taylor not having the necessary toughness is a complete joke. Consider him and the other late 88s who made the MN Selects 16s & 17s both years while competing in one of the strongest fields I can EVER remember in selects (that group includes Mueller, Carmen, E. Johnson, etc). Matt...

Re: NHL problems

The economics are a problem, but they are not the critical long-term issue. The NHL product suffers the most from the two line pass, the ice is too small, the goalie equipment is absurdly large, the goons and cheaters suffocate the game, and the marketing is pathetic.

Fix the CBA, trim a few...

AHA

AHA is a very good team, they have some nice wins, but I don't see this as one of the stronger AHA teams. 14 of their 24 games are against sub-par competition, there's alot to be said for having to go through the grind of a true AA schedule. I've seen them several times this year, they are very good...

Glass House

If you're a witness to the prosecution, Knowlze, then all is lost for us and it must all be true - you are the button on the baseball cap of truth after all. Our students rock and they behave themselves just fine. Your petty concern is not needed, nor is your trust - we can handle our kids just fine...

Cuda - one thing they do know up there is that malice is power (but only in your own crib)! That's why they were able to so courageously have our student section moved by creating the fantasy of drooling Jag teen wolfs biting their 10 year olds as they walked by. Very Scott County-ish of them, don't...
