So, stickstats scored a game, and Eagan was credited for a loss in a game that never happened?

yep...I was there. Woodbury looked very good, relentless (sp?) would be a good word to describe that team, they never stop coming at you, there was one 1:30 period of time the puck never left the Lakeville zone, and it took me a while to realize Woodbury was a man down, shorthanded. We will see as t...

Fred,
was this at the Woodbury tourny? The B'ville B2 team came in and gave Woodbury B1 everything it wanted. I was at that game, fun to see.

tomass,
That is the response one would hope for, however hope and reality often produce very different outcomes.
And, yes the accusations will fly if these kids dont make the desired team. But watch the accusations fly if they do!!!

I can see it now.... "KID NATION"-hockey style.
Woodbury closed its tryouts this year. They polled the kids in the locker rooms, and overwhelmingly they were in favor. Parents on the other hand....not so much

Is there a rule of thumb for 10th grade Bantam eligible players, do most play JV, if possible, or do they stay with the Bantam program. Varsity would be a no-brainer( i think), but what about the JV kids?? A ways down the road for my player, but I am curious. Thanks

Yes, I believe the rule only applies to those who are grade level, born before Sept. 1st. Situatuition is; Player has played one year of Peewees, is going into the 8th grade. Does he play another year of Peewees, or move to Bantams? If he plays Peewees again, the argument will be that the player wil...

Early move up Bantam(s)

Our associaition recently passed a change in the birthdate for the hockey year. What used to be July 1st, is now Sept. 1. My question is this, there will be some kids who played only one year of Peewees moving on to Bantams, and there will be some players who play a second year of Peewees and move t...

Northwoods, could not agree more. I have a 5 year old who just started the mini-mite program in our associaition. We would go to practice, and there would be more fathers on the ice helping out than there would be players. I have all the respect in the would for those who volunteer thier time to hel...

It seems to me that the point of the original post has been lost. I think the question is why, would teams do this? Maybe it would be differant if the classification was U11, U12, etc.. I understand that players will play with both kids older, and younger than them in during the winter season. And, ...

If you are talking about Lakeville North Black, they are a good team. Went from the playin game to the ship in D8. Beat both Woodbury teams, one in 4 OT, and gave Eagan Green ( a very good team) evrything it wanted in the championship game. They breakout well, some big kids, but dont hit as much as 1...

Watchdog, I applaud you for your post. The constant pissing and moaning regarding the refs, the calls they make, or dont make, is becoming ridiculous. I just used the squirt thing as a comparrison, if 80% of PWA become Bantam A, I thought it was interesting that only 2 out of 15 Squirt A would become Bantam A. The numbers of the thing are the interesting part. I know it changes from association to association.
