Edina over GR in double OT 5-4 in 1978. Long time ago but it was a great game.

GR over Hill Murray 2-1 in 1980 was another one.

Lots of great games since. As an old timer I had to throw those two out there.

I would welcome that actually. The more good teams in 7AA the better. Hermantown in 7AA would be great also. Hibbing opting back up would make that a real powerhouse like the old days. GR, DE, Hermantown, Hibbing, Andover, FL, Marshall,RR Play each team twice is 14 games. Would make the season prett...

I didn’t care who won. I was bummed for 2 1/2 periods. The end of the 3rd and the OT’s more than made up for it.

Congrats to both teams for giving the fans that game.

That penalty would be a little understandable in the last minute of a game down by 5 goals

Where are the "This seeding thing is joke! We need to stop doing this!" folks this year? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Agree. Having this game tonight used to happen on Thursday morning some years. I get the 1-8 game can be ugly at times but at least the chance for a ridiculous upset is there....

Really hoping to see a game like we just watched. They both have work to do to duplicate that game.

Absolutely great championship game. It doesn’t get any better than that. Congrats to Warroad. Congrats to Hibbing.

Minnesota hockey fans treated to another classic.

It’s interesting to me that I always felt Edina was the wealthy team that had all the advantages.

As I got older I view them as the team that still plays old school hockey. They just consistently do it better than everyone else.

I’ll be surprised if this game isn’t just like the game we just watched.

Congrats to Tonka. Helluva game. Rosemount did everything and more than most would have thought. They are a serious team.

I’ll be anxious to see the predictions for next year.

This game takes the sting out of yesterday’s game.

Not saying Rosemount pulls this off but if they do, this is how it looks.

It was a wild one. GR outshot them 46-16 but needed a Rajala goal with 59 seconds left to break a 2-2 tie. Gentry goalie was on fire. Ironically though, it was 1-1 in the 3rd and Rapids threw one in the zone from the redline and it hopped in off the goalies stick. Rapids radio guys felt bad for him....

I did just see that on the intermission replay.

Great start for Rosemount. I thought there was a possible hand pass at the net on that goal. Probably not, it wasn’t mentioned. Anyone else notice that?
