Just curious why an all state goalie would leave. I'm from the community so I care a little bit, but it's not like we haven't had top players leave before. Just curious why you'd leave when you are an all state athlete and have the chance to lead your team to another state championship, especially ...

Touche, guys. But yeah not gonna lie, its just fun being there. Winning is obviously a good thing, but honestly, wouldnt you want fans who'd be at the games no matter what? Has the Crandall leaving thing been confirmed yet anyway? Or is it still just a rumor. One of my buddies talked to Crandall on...

Just checked with the MSHSL boys, turns out it's not up to the fans when deciding when STA should opt up. Eh, well, maybe next year.

Why is everyone surprised that Nate Braden isn't playing hockey in the NAHL or USHL? He racked up so many points playing in Silver Bay for a weak team, with a weak Class A schedule. It's surprising because he has the talent to play at that level, not because of his points in high school  But ...

Re: nate breden

I asked the same question a few weeks ago to a couple of players that played when he did. They told me that he did not have much success in junior hockey and had gobe back to Silver Bay. They did not say he was working at the mines, but they did say he was playing on a bar league team. Hope all is ...

Nate Breden was a top ten scorer in the state twice, graduating last year. Unfortunately, I'm not making him up.[/i]

No one considered STA the number one team in state last year (and still didn't after the tournament) -- shows how much opinions matter.

This isn't even worth dicussing, full face shields will never be put in place. The NHL is struggling with market opportunities as is. They aren't going to jeopardize fighting & face recognition for the sake of protecting their players. They aren't your kids in high school guys, they're adults.

I'm just curious, interested in what's going on. Why a new rink? It probably would help with scheduling for UST and STA, but that's not worth the millions it would take. Impact Hockey is a training membership program designed for hockey players. Its headquarters is at STA and it runs through the su...

Re: a

highly unlikely will STA/UST install another rink in the near future. The rink was added 3-4 years ago and the schools are still paying for it. On top of the arena, STA is scheduled to build a new athletic facility, fieldhouse/weight room/ possibly new pool and basketball court. They will be paying...
