no it was a very good game but breck came out with the victory the youngsters on there team had very good games and orono's goalie didnt play very well. It was a great game. The score ended up close but Breck totally outplayed Orono. A Breck Freshman who grew up playing in Orono with most of their ...

Re: What about?
Orono won 3-0. Was a good game. They didn't lose to Spring Lake Park.Tigers33 wrote:What about Mound and Richfield? Anyone know about these two teams? Mound should have a pretty good team this year.
Who won between Blake and Orono last year?

I agree Orono is probably the team to beat, but no way Blake. After Birk and Barnes they are weaker than a Britney Spears awards show comeback! [-( Keep talking smack goldy. I think you may have left out a few good players (Doerring, Dressen, Devries, Brunettte, Sievold, McMahon, Johnson) but...

Re: Birkholz to Gophers.
Yogi, Joe is a very good player. Maybe not as good as Birk, but no question they are going to be a better team with all of the 10th graders and better goalie. It's going to be a fun year! Guess the Gophers like "Birk" better too. Read it at the following link: http://gopherpuck.blogspot.c...

Birkholz to Gophers.
What about Joe Rehkamp from breck Joe is a good player but certainly not a star. Yogi, Joe is a very good player. Maybe not as good as Birk, but no question they are going to be a better team with all of the 10th graders and better goalie. It's going to be a fun year! Guess the Gophers like "B...

Providence may be ok this year as well. They have a number of seniors this year and a decent goalie. They will probably struggle in the coming years as they appear to be having a hard time getting new players in and keeping some of the younger players. As for Blake, to me it looks like they have on...

Orono and Breck have to be the favorites. Orono has a very strong Junior Class led by Persian, Skoog and the Hansen brothers. Breck has an elite group of 10 Sohpmores and Rehkamp and Winegarden. Both should have solid goaltending. Blake just isn't deep enough this year. Good luck this year Alan. Bl...

Thanks for the info GoBears that was much needed. whats their goalie situation over at Blake? Im not to familiar with this team but if they have solid goaltending coming back I will give them the nod in this section. Goalie is Peter Johnson. Same goalie as last year. Very solid and with alot more e...

Eagle8 those are some great picks. I was gunna also say blake but i wasnt sure if birkholz and who all else was still around or coming back. Orono could be good too but they lost McClure, randall, and peterson and their coach so I don't see them being a big contender but u never know. Birkholz is b...

Titles aren't the only thing that matters. Also, years ago teams played in the private school tourny, in which many schools such as Cathedral (now duluth marshall), Hill Murray, Probably Cretin and St Thomas all did well in. Wrong... The Blake School completely dominated the private school state to...

i think some people go to private school because there schools suck and they want to get noticed by scouts and they want to be on a good team. thats why most of them are good besides blake and breck Thats funny stuff. Blake and Breck have had more players drafted in the NHL draft in the past five y...

facts
Common opponents: Breck, TRF, Minnetonka, CDH, TG. Blake either lost to these teams or had a season split. DM only lost to Minnetonka with an EN goal. Meanwhile, Minnetonka beat Blake 7-0. So, I pick DM by 3 goals here. Minnetonka and Thief River beat Blake early in the year. Blake beat TG twice an...

Re: coach quits
They lost and the parents jumped him at the end of the game. He was upset about the way one of his players acted after the game kicking all the Blake players equipment all over the ice. Goal-tending and solid defense were the difference tonight.Hockman21 wrote:does anyone know the reason why he quit
