Gopher9, I will never understand what your issue is with Alex. Jealous, because some people are proud of their team or what? You really p### me off at times. I have often wondered who you are but on the other hand it is probably a good thing I don't know your true identity. Exchanging words with you...

Yes she did receive offers from UCONN and OSU including others. And she also did play in the 2nd game but not the 3rd in Ottawa. ND will improve with their new coach. ND has already made a great improvement from last year. Also have to remember that when looking at a college, hockey is not the only ...

GOPHER 9

About a year ago, I promised to let you know when Holmes made it D1, well I am keeping my word. She is heading of to North Dakota. (She got recognition from multiple D1 colleges). And by the way she was on the USA 18's, just FYI.[/quote]

ghshockeyfan,

so are you going to let us know who your favorite MN player is that made the U18 team or maybe its a secret. And also who are the new 3 gopher bound girls?

The eight girls from MN that made the team are all good players. How exciting for them all.

Why is it that so many people have to put Alex down so much? Alex really only has 1.5 lines (if that) compared to others who have 2 to 4 all comparable lines. And 4 of them got honored for all-state. 1 getting the Herb Brooks award. What does that tell you, they work hard and stay in the game, with ...

Gopher 9,

WOW, you are something else. Yes, several D1 colleges and yes there most likely are better D out there than Holmes but that does not mean that D1 colleges are not interested. When she goes D1 I will make sure you know.

every player in every game they play will make some mistakes, no player is perfect, not even the pros. Unfortunately, most of the time when Holmes makes a pass, her teammates can't catch them (the first line girls can). If it wasn't for Holmes and Justice I am sure that the outcome would have been m...

I am aware that Crookston does not get to pick and choose either, that is why I said "city teams". Yes those Wheelhouse girls are great on the ice and great off ice. They are very down to earth and a joy to be around. It is fun to see them play. They both have a lot of talent. Crookston do...

Well, I am glad that you have nothing against Alex. But from some of your past remarks, one could wonder. I agree with your "good" and "great" teams comment. Alex is blessed to have the few good players they do seeing as though they are only given so much unlike a lot of the city...

Gopher 9, Yes I have seen many city games and I know that there are alot of awesome "D's" out there. My only point was that Holmes is not "average", she is better than average (she plays in the cities all summer). No, she has not been out to Lake Placcid but that whole ordeal is ...

Gopher9, you obviously pay more attention to the offense than defense. Holmes (Alex) is better than "average". A skater does not become all state hon. mention, All conference, a CODP player for 4 years, a 19U US CODP player (with Lenny Vennilli) a player for the Minnesota team that was cha...

Re: Class of 2008 All - Star Team

I think we have forgotten about Ashley Holmes. She should be added to the defense list. She was also All State Honorable Mention 06.
