How about that weekend you came down to the cities to play all of those scrimmages. How did that go?

Thnx Pioneer, the state breakdown is nice to have. It may end up just like that! EagleGuy, just out of curiosity (not as a shot, out of pure curiosity) who would be seated at the state banquet tables if it were up to you? In my opinion the West and East Regional should have seeded one more to state....

Pioneer.......

Are we going to get a ranking this week? These are the most reliable/fair rankings out there. I'm sure the teams not going to state would like something to hold onto. Thanks for your efforts on this.

Holy Crap Feddy. Did they run out of Bronto Burgers in Bedrock? Tommybutt has been a pretty negative poster but his negativity is always aimed at his home squad Chaska. I didnt think that was a great angle to play. One of Chaska's problems this year was negativity (See OhMY and TomASS' posts) That w...

Outdoors-

Might there be a chance that a player from outside D6 is worthy of an All Star bid?

They have a great district, but there are 100+ other teams in the state. There has got to be players on a more panoramic scale.

I'm just looking for excuses to toot my own horn. I'm not by any means taking anything away from EP Red. I just predicted that Black would win the D6 playoffs. They were close enough for me! I'm putting it on my resume.

I called it! I said Black would be D6 champs. Check the archives. Although they arent officially the champs, they made a fantastic run. You gotta love it, West Regional is set. Wayzata Blue beat Blake last night 4-3 for the #2 seed. Red Division A-D3#1 Maple Grove B-D5#2 Mound Westonka C-D6#2 EP Bla...

Only the winner goes to regions. One will be in and one will be out. The following game with the loser of the championship game will determine seeding #2 or #3.

From D3:

Wayzata Gold over Cooper/Armstrong 4-1

Wayzata Blue over Brooklyn Park 4-1

Gold and Blue play Saturday for final Regional spot.

My money is on Wayzata.

Here are some fun facts for the Secret Society. The answer is "Yes" I need a life. There are 126 teams at the Bantam B1 level in 12 districts. Here are the unofficial League Champions. Unofficial because I got them from websites. Some leagues do not have official standings. Most do, anyway...

No question Pioneer's are the best. Someone will always be able to find something to disagree with. I think another thing that is taken into his rankings is the strength of schedule. Woodbury has beaten a bunch of weaker teams and had much closer games with the top 20 teams. If I were Woodbury, I wo...

Very accurate Pioneer. It seems that your system gets better and better through the year as the teams play more and more. Right now is the best I've seen. Thanks for doing this for the secret society all season. It has got to be a ton of work!

By the way what association are you associated with?

A typical post in this forum from someone that has an ambiguous name or a name that refers to a rival associtation: You know who is good? Me. I can snipe, skate fast and self-promote better than anyone you all have talked about. You know who is going to win state? My team, because I am on it. Dont b...

I believe D3 and D10 maybe a little more cut and dry. D6 is going to be some of the best hockey in a long time. I would encourage everyone to come watch if you are interested at all in hockey. I know I will be there. Probably not until after the wild card is decided but the playoffs for sure.

District 3 1. Wayzata Blue - 2 point lead over Blake with Orono and Maple Grove left 2. Blake - Got to pull for MG to beat Blue on Monday and keep HEP points against bruisers Brooklyn Park and Cooper/Armstrong 3. Maple Grove - Has to get at least one point from blue and all 3 from Orono to get 3rd s...

From my calculations this looks like the D10 playoff picture 1. Chisago Lakes 1 point behind leader Elk River with 1 to play vs. N.Branch 2. Elk River 3. Centennial Red 4. Blaine 5. Champlin Park 6. St. Cloud Red 7. Pine City 8. Princeton There may be a little shuffling do to tiebreaks in the middle...

Does anyone know how the tiebreak works. For example, two teams finish with the records of 10-2-2 and 10 FP pts for a total of 32 pts 9-3-2 and 12 FP pts for a total of 32 pts Does the team with more wins get the number 1 seed or does the fairplay point determine the tie break. With referees being t...

Cents, to add to your D10 statement, Looking at the D10 website, the playoff format only allows the top 8 to participate. There are like 6 teams within 5 points of one another at the bottom of the bubble. We all get pissed about HEP points effecting seeding, how about ending your season based on HEP...

C-spondant-Very good overall evaluation of the MG v Gold game. MG had chances, lots of chances, good chances to avail. Its not like they need shooting practice either. They just were unlucky. It would be easy to let that be a focal point and an excuse. Got to keep digging, MG does have talent and pl...

They've been crappy in tournaments. They also arent in D6 so this message board doesnt talk about them much. League play has been pretty solid. Its pretty hard to say a team that is 26-7-2 struggling. I've watched them a handfull of times. If they play up to their capacity they can make it to state....

Maple Grove 1

This MG team is enigmatic. Its going to be a dog fight for the final regional seed in D3 playoffs.

My2Cents is right on. The pool play is going to screw a derserving team. Plus you can play to a tie in pool play. OT is part of the fun of playoffs. The sense of urgency goes down in pool play because there are other factors that can determine the state play-in game. Brackets are more exciting and l...
