stated perfectly on a South Park rerun last night our only choices are a turd sandwich or a douche bag our choices will always only be a turd sandwich or a douche bag but our vote counts so choose wisely So true and so sad. Dark side of American democracy. I think almost everybody hopes for a healt...

By the way, as to "quitting." That is a terrible idea, we broke it to what it is now-to leave it broken is a terrible idea. What do we do now? That takes some thought, but you can't forget who bears responsibility for the way the US got in. President asked for it. Congress approved it. Int...

Re: Quit,....or whine?

So is the consensus to pullout of Iraq and quit,.....or just keep whining about the details? Blue Breeze, thanks for the facts, very impressive. No, I am not "surprised" of no recent attacks on our soil. I cannot tolerate any, and am thankful there haven't been any since 2001,....and I at...

But as for the referees being against Duluth Jr. Gold teams, its just an observation that I've made. Regardless of the state that they are from. In fact in one game where the 5-on-3 situation occured the head ref was from Duluth and man whom I've met before. The state which the refs were from was no...

I'm not sure why you'd "hate" to tell me about the ref numbers I was just making an observation-and I honestly appretiate any clarity on the matter.

True nobody made him stand up and say lets talk about it, and my wording was probably not the best, but the impetus was created. Had republicans remained in control of congress do you think he might have emphasized "Stay the course." I really can't say for sure, but I don't think he'd have...

The whole Iraq situation was one big mistake as well, regardless of whether or not Iraq had WMD's. A poorly planned "liberation" with very little realistic thought of how the country would turn out after a new government is installed. Could Bush have done a better job? Yes. Could Kerry hav...

Maybe its just me, but as far as I can tell, it took a democratic congress to make Bush stand up and say "maybe we made some mistakes, let's talk about it" as opposed to "stay the course or we will embolden the enemy".

Homeboy refs?

Though I can't speak for what occured at the Green Bay game in the Duluth tournament, I can tell you that Duluth referees and the Duluth Jr Gold program have never been "homeboys." I have watched Jr. Gold games in the past where Duluth referees have given the game to visiting teams in the ...

If the election was tomorrow I would say Hillary- no, she is too liberal for my tastes Barack- an interesting choice that I do not know to much about, but seems promising. Edwards- Another interesting candidate but one which I think will not find too much success. Biden- Funny but the foot-in-mouth ...

Can I add Fans?

I hate Mike Vanderjagt- has he been mentioned yet? and while not truly a player, let me just say that I hate a good deal of fans up in Oakland; they are some of the scariest people you could ever meet--don't ever wear opposing colors up in Raiderville or you will have an 80% or higher chance of bein...

Getting respect?

So, now that the season is well underway, have any northern teams really earned respect. Individual teams or as a whole; are northern teams playing up to par with the upper level metro teams?

David Beckham coming Stateside

If anybody is following this: is it worth it? The galaxy (I think) are going to pay him something like $250 million over 5 years to try and boost the popularity of the MLS. To me it seems like a financial disaster, but there is the outside chance that it might give the league increased legitimacy on...

I agree: T.O. tops the list. Also included to a lesser extent:

Todd Bertuzzi, Kobe Bryant, and to a far lesser extent Eli Manning--All his draft day complaining has made it really hard for me to cheer for him.

The vikings don't even deserve to play on the Gophers' field. Maybe a high school stadium would be better--now that would be a spectacle in December. Why a third barrel?

For stopping power, all it takes is the ability to modify the shells with a few household products. Double Barrels are nice cause you can keep ingredients separate until contact while firing. Both shells hit at about the same place in a quick span---Presto! Instant Chemically assisted stopping power...
