Section 1A
Looking forward to some exciting games, glad to hear of the cakewalk teams no longer in the section and adding some real comeptition. Dont know much about the new teams except lourdes and new prague, but think it should be a real tossup, no clear winner in sight for me.

Someone start a "Grammar arguement forum" for people who actually care. 29 of the total 30 pages on here are arguing about things other than hockey. So please people, keep on topic!

Whoever cares the most will win, simple as that. You can tell when a team just wants the season to end. The teams that are playin for the big show and really believe they have a chance could upset anyone. Cant come in thinking it will be a breeze. AL learned that last year agaisnt Marshall.

AL
Just to state that 18 win and 7 losses all year isnt bad at all when you have injuries and line changes the majority of the games. You can argue that AL doesnt play tough enough teams, but look at the good teams they played. They were all close games, no blowouts all year long. Can't get much more s...

Fixxer
Fixxer, you are a loser. Way to make a kid feel good about himself! Im not gonna say one or the other is the better goalie, but Casanova has been here, helped 2 AL teams get to state and definitly has experience. He hasnt played bad all year and has proven solid. Waalkens is also a great goalie, but...

Also to add to the AL vs. Mayo game...
Albert Lea's entire second line was out of the game.
Bowman was sick
Arendt had one of the cuts
Hegwood got hit from behind and got a concussion
The Younger kids stepped up and played an outstanding game

AL vs. Owatonna
AL - 8 Owatonna - 2 AL came out strong scoring the first two goals in the first, correct me if owatonna scored in the first. 2nd - Owatonna came out and scored a goal, answered by albert lea, then again by owatonna making it 3-2 By this point AL was down Arendt and Schumaker due to large cuts needin...

Arendt & Walton
Although Arendt and Walton are both very good hockey players in my eyes, I think ALs lines are finally starting to click, staying away from stupid penalties and working together. Walton played an outstanding game today as well.

AL vs. Faribo
AL - 3 Faribo - 4 AL after the first was down 2-1, the lone AL goal going to Bowman After the 2nd AL was down 4-1 In the 3rd they made a late run with about 4 min left with goal by Hegwood, then another tacked on by Arendt. There was some extreme pressure on the 6 on 5 at the end but just couldnt ge...

Penalty
I can recall one penalty that was extra bad, although all were not penalties a year or two ago, but a kid ran into one of AL's players, fell over, and what do ya know... PENALTY! For what? not quite sure. guess there is ALOT of adjusting to do

AL vs. NU
Albert Lea - 4
New Ulm - 2
New Ulm had a decent last drive but just couldn't outplay AL this time. AL dominated the 1st, pretty even the 2nd, and it was back in forth in the 3rd. Plenty of penalties as always in the newly remastered game of boys hockey making it more like girls....

Scrimmages
The scrimmages this weekend in Mankato were really rather lame. The ice was really snowy, games were getting cut short. Probably the biggest waste of time i've been involved in in a long time. 30 min. is a horrible test to see how the other team is. It was early in the day, everyone seemed tired, ju...

Intense!
The seasons comin, but not fast enough! I saw the first games for HS Hockey on FSN starts the 30th. I am sad to see though that no southern teams are going to have a televised game. Not even Rochester. I think the south is underestimated, not bashing northern teams in anyway, because that's where al...
