Down Side Of Hockey
For years there was not a down side to hockey, But now? I see posts down in the cities where kids in the suburbs are paying $1200 dollars to play hockey. When I was young and lived in Minneapolis we have playground and park teams, Now they are all gone and everything is association hockey. Why can't...

G-PO, You don't have to defend yourself. I just got off the phone with Jeff over in International Falls and he tells me your team is coming back up there again this year. Your team looked pretty good up there last year and I was looking forward to seeing them again but our Roseau Pee Wee tournament ...

District 1 "A" Bantams
From what I read about district 1 it sounds like the patients are running the nut house. Como has problems not playing "A" and at your Pee Wee's you have SW/SLP playing in 1 and a half leagues, Who is in charge of that district is it the SWP/SW Coach that always posts on here it seams that...

Thanks SLP/SW coach for an answer. Does any other teams anywhere else get to play in other district games? But what I am getting at is I know some people in the Como area and according to them it is hard for inter city teams to get scrimmages with most of the teams you get to play in District 3, Man...

Thought
Maybe Como and Johnson should combine and maybe they to could schedule games with the powerhouse teams, From what Johnsonpres says they have 44 total Pee Wee's and I heard Como has roughly 32 that would give about the same numbers as Highland/Central/Roseville/Eagan team does. Yes we all know where ...

District 1 "A" Bantams
Johnson will win both regular and playoffs even though they let their best player go up to the high school. (Cory Ellis)

District 1
There was a time before people flocked out to the suburbs when the inter-city teams dominated all the power teams, It was not uncommon for a city team to rout say White Bear or Eden Prairie or even Edina by big scores and no one in the city said lets take there spots away. Remember when Rochester wa...

That just proves what I am saying it is not MHY, Moorehead and Thief River Falls. I can't believe you thought you coached at MHY. What is MHY?

Are you not being a little hard here? Look what Minnesota hockey has done , Must where helments, Stop signs between shoulder blades. when yo are checking someone with the puck are you looking at the anywhere at the upper part of someones body. Tyrell
People up here say you were in a couple places and never really connected with anyone. The people talk nice to you in both places MHA and TRF but behind your back the comments are not very favorable. Hope you have a good season where you coach now.

G-Po done at Johnson
Just got off the phone and it is true that G-Po and his wife are going to retire from Johnson Hockey after this season. Good luck to both of them they and Moose have lasted a long time making Johnson hockey the best it could have been. Good Luck to both Greg and Lynn in anything they do in the future.

I hope you are talking about Como at the "B" levels because Como only fields one "A" team and that is the Bantams. Last year Como had a pee wee team that played in "B" divison and should have been an "A" team and still could not make it to the state tournament...

I am glad that the coach Tyrell didn't get the Bantam job at Johnson. If it is true what I heard about G-Po not coaching anymore that has to be a major blow to the Johnson organization. Word is that him and his wife carry the Johnson program.

Coaches on the ice
First of all gopherhockey33 you should change your name, anyone that can't spell a lick should not make the university of Minnesota look so bad. Second, Coaches at Squirts and below should be on the ice for scrimmages so as to position players and explain why they need to be at a certain spot.
