What kids have Lourdes recruited away from Mayo? Chezick, Kurth, Dennis, Voigt, the Wylams, to name a few. Debusman's performance last night was decent, but not spectacular...there were several goals i'm sure he'd like to have back. However goaltending is not Mayo's problem, if you take a look at t...

Hookum was coaching the game against South Saint Paul too. Wonder what happened to Grosso? I noticed the same thing, I hope his wife is doing alright. I've been told it has nothing to do with his wife, but with him. Not sure on the details though. Grosso was in the hospital for a few days, but is o...

When Mayo's first and second lines are clicking, they can completely control a game. Against Farmington Mayo had them pinned down in their zone for 5 minute stretches at a time, and like itech said, put 3 off the crossbar. The game really could have gone either way and both teams know that.

I'd be very surprised if Century can put enough past Meyers to earn the win... but it would be great for Rochester as a whole if they pulled it off.

Mayo has more skilled players than Lee, no offense to him, they proved last night that they can scrape out a win without him so they should be alright.

Not exactly big nine, but Mayo beat Red Wing 4-3 in a scrimmage yesterday and controlled the game. They'll sneak up on a lot of teams this year if people underestimate them.

Re: Next Year Big Nine

Who looks good for the 09-10 season? I know JM has a lot of returning Sophomores but are there any decent Juniors returning? Mayo will have a good goalie next year. He will be a Junior next year, but other than that their team is pretty weak. I think it will be Albert Lea winning the big nine next ...

Who are the best goaltenders going into the tourney? Cam Sellnow out of Century has been strong as of late. He's one of the reasons they made it to state. Let's see if he can handle the nerves in his first state tourney. Compared to the other goalies at state...Ford, Ankeny, Shaughnessy, Harper, an...

Sellnow can't stop the Blaine offense, three goals on 21 shots against a below 500 LN team last night? If that's results of his nerves before the game imagine how he'll feel going into a packed X and playing one of the top teams in the state. Blaine will eat up his juicy rebounds all game long...Bla...

Re: Best slip up's of the night on live internet feeds!!

NO joke... i hope someone else was listnening to the live radio feed betwen edina and jefferson tonight. I believe it was the second period of the game. The announce says "And a special shout out to one of our listeners... Jack mehoff (long pause) Oh no you guys really got me on that one"...

Sellnow needs to work on his recovery save motions, once he drops he is very slow and will need to either control his rebounds better or get much quicker leg movement if he's going to be considered a great goalie.

I don't understand how the 1AA team is basically an automatic bye when Century knocked off the "mighty pioneers" and then Burnsville to take home third place two years ago. I guarantee you if Hill makes it to St Paul this year and they draw the 1AA team they won't take them as lightly as t...

i hope it's not a team from Rochester, or anything south of the twin cities suburbs...they were blessed for far to long with a weak section...getting in to state by geographic default...if you can have roseau and tech in the same section, or cathedral and hermantown, why cant you have rochester and...
