4. Playing way to many gam I do think Maple Grove needs to break it off with Osseo and have it's own identity. Long term it will strength their community and kids will feel more loyalty playing for their town Never going to happen. MG needs those two sheets of ice at Osseo. OMGHA have four sheets n...

How about the Mankato West team knocking off New Ulm in 95 in Class A? First time an 8 seed knocked off a 1 seed. There was book written about it and that team. http://www.amazon.com/Scarlet-Ice-Minnesota-School-Janavaras/dp/1937293912/ref=sr_1_21?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1423774433&sr=1-21&a...

City Pages Cover Story Part 2: Game Misconduct 2

First Part was pretty good.

I think this part does a bit better in the exposure. Of course, not much new for regulars here.

Don't see Osseo leaving 5 at all.

Only got a minute here while heading outta town.....but a couple of quick points. The new AD at Park Center stated upon his hiring that priority would be boys hockey renewal/startup. When they orginally merged was there a ice rink involved? If so has MG figured out a way to keep a high volume of hours to themselves? Osseo has the two ancient rinks at the high school. Maple Grove only had one rink at the community center up until 2 or 3 years ago when they added a second sheet. ...

Gotta be a low number as the Resolution docs state that 83% of OMGHA is Maple Grove skaters. Of the remaining 17% that are Osseo skaters......I would hazard maybe enough for one team??

OMGHA association breakup?

Heard about this and it's up on the OMGHA website. Any insight by users on what is happening? Some questions I guess I have are: Is this just driven by a group of MG parents? Do Osseo parents want this to happen? If it gets up for a vote at the annual meeting next week....will it pass? http://www.om...

So why not have Osseo join with another association...say, North Metro. Maple Grove doesn't need Osseo--Osseo needs Maple Grove--or someone else. Agreed! Osseo should join North metro. Maple Grove has plenty of kids to choose from. Osseo was around long before MG even existed - so, sure dump them n...

North Metro has single A teams at Bantams and Peewees. And if you look at the D3 website standings none are competitive......they were pretty much forced by D3 to have A teams this year after the Bantam B1 team took second in state last year. The Peewee teams appear awfully misplaced by their recor...

Re: Section realignment

Seeing as 7 of 8 sections have 9 teams, it wouldn't be too out of the ordinary to have 1 section with 10 teams - Moundsview could always move to 5AA, leaving 6AA with 8 teams. I'm assuming that there's a good chance that Cooper and Armstrong will coop...if not next year, then the year after. That w...

Blake has a bantam team? They should not have. In fact, a few years ago there was a vote that decided to limit youth hockey teams to youth hockey associations so I don't know what happened after that vote. MN Hockey could have had a clean slate of only youth hockey associations hosting youth hockey...

Old subject.......but Osseo did come to BPYHA (now NMYHA) years ago and ask to merge. They were turned down by the Executive Board at that time (very very dumb even at that time). Details from past about this: http://www.ushsho.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=527854&highlight=#527854 http://www.ushsh...
