WSP
Another coach who got forced out after what would be considered by most people to be a successful season. Who is to blame for this ongoing cycle? Overbearing parents? Coaches who don't have thick skin? or Administrators or AD's who don't back their coaches? It will be interesting to see who is next?...

re: Benilde High School Coaching
I have it from a member of the team that they, the players on the team, did not like playing for Gravel. I know this girl is not on the 3rd or 4th line, so that argument is out. The complaints that she mentioned were the lack of communication and poor relationships with the girls on the squad.
<b...

Okay, so which one should it be?
I would choose the Mankato Camp. The advanced 15 camp is put on by some college coaches (MSU Staff) and is supposed to mirror the boys advanced 15 camp.

The coaches camp is run by HS coaches with some former college players as couselors/coaches.

From what I heard last year the HS cam...

I had heard that FSN wanted to bring him on board fulltime for next season. It should be very interesting to see if he bites.

Coaches of the year
Coach O was one of the pioneers of the girls game. He help start the coaches association. I am positive that he met all of the criteria. The mistake, I believe, was his. He did not let anyone know that he was retiring. I don't think he wanted the attention.

State's Top Goalies
Richards did not have the minutes that they had but she played with another goalie who had a % of 90. I think those other goalies were by themselves. How hard is it to have a good save percentage when you face 10 shots a game vs. 50. Yes they play a tougher schedule but by how much? They are in the ...

I am sad to see Jerry at Sibley go. I will miss him. He is a great coach who cared about his athletes and girls HS hockey. Sad day for hockey.

Coaches of the year
It is sad to see that 5AA did not recognize Tom Osiecki as the section coach of the year. He has done so much for G HS hockey. You would think that in his last season, after 41 years of coaching, that he should have received the honor. His team did also have a great season. Too bad. I guess another ...

I am really surprised to see that no one has mentioned Claire Richards from Richfield. She had a save percentage of 94.2% this past season. I believe that was the best in the Classic Suburban Conference. She has little or nothing in front of her. She often sees 40+ shots a game. She is only a sophom...

I am surprised to see Drazen move on, but it for the best. She is a great kid and deserves nothing but the best. Good luck Rachel!
