Hey Francis,
How do you know so much about this kid? Do you carry his bag and stick for him? Finn70 is clueless

Hey Finn,
I think you are clueless and missing the point here. This website WAS created for Minnesota High School Hockey.
Not Shattuck Hockey, Juniors or Ann Arbor. Once these kids have moved on to bigger and better hockey in their minds and their parents minds, they shouldn't be allowed to co...

Drew

Bucksony,
I couldn't have agreed with you more. After watching
all three games at the G-8 I totally understand where you are coming from. Drew deserved to play with kids that passed him the puck. Once he passed, he seldom got the puck back. He could have still had a couple of assists, but his ...

I agree that Loken should have made it. How do you make honorary mention all state in the Star Tribune and the Pioneer Press, and don't get mentioned in the Duluth News or IRC all conference????????
I think the Duluth sportswriters are smoking to much of that wacky tobacky.......... or they've ne...

Player's chosen

Mucker,
I agree that a couple of other kids could have been chosen, but you could say the same for the Duluth area team. All the kids picked played well for both teams.
Dons, thanks for the correction, I had a brainfart, Chad is a DJ in my hometown, Kyle is a hockey player in Warroad, and a da...

correct defensive pairs

The IRC did look good last night, but I want to clarify one thing. Chad Hardwick from Warroad played with Niskanen, and Derek Fisher from IF paired up with Goligoski.
The last shift of the night Goligoski went up front with Drew and Shea, and just about scored.
Fun game to watch! Hate to burst your bubble Upucker, but if Albert Lea stays within 3 goals it will be a moral victory....
Kudos to the tigers for winning Section 1, but as we all know, 1 is weak, Lake of the Woods, Blake, Hermantown, and about 10 others are better and don't get the chance to play on the X-cel ice...

Big Upset

Joe,
At the time it was, no team from South of the Twin Cities had ever won the tournament. JM beat SSP 1-0 on a goal by Todd Lecy, I can still see the image of him dancing across the ice after he scored.
Edina was known as the cake eaters, everyone thought they were rich and cocky in those da...

biggest upset

I'd have to say the 1977 state tournament. Rochester John Marshall comes into a tournament a heavy underdog. They beat a powerful Edina team 4-3 in the championship game. 8 of those players go on to play D1 hockey.
Tom Taylors kid was just named WCHA player of the week for the Gophers. # 14, and ...

IF was a 1 man show last year

Gordo13,
Sorry, but IF was a one man show last year. Johnson & Meyers are in Bozeman both struggling, Baldwin just quit the Thunder, and Cramer has spent more time in the penalty box than the ice this year. The IF kids are just learning how to score for the first time in 3 years. They depende...

IF was a 1 man show

That wasn't any upset Gordo13. IF was a one man show the last 3 years. He was good, don't get me wrong, but he's no Mr. Hockey finalist. All the good teams IF faced realized this, and boxed him in. Hibbing could have beaten the Falls all 3 times last year. It was the difference of a lucky bounce. IF...

Don't forget Rochester Lourdes

In SE Minnesota it has to be Lourdes.... it's pay to play.
