Re: Cole Bumgarner
Seems like it would have been fun to stay at Shakopee, play in hockey day MN, go to state tournament with a shot to win it, get all the press and coverage you could possibly want as a player. Be the top dog at walking down halls at the high school hang with all your buddies, play some poker with bo...

Re: Cole Bumgarner
There are some other kids at the youth level giving him a run for his money. Younger Crowley will play at SSM making that his 3rd team in 3 years, the Stewart kid goes from Hastings err Woodbury err Edina err Shako and now I hear SSM too. The Stewart family is just as if not even more bonkers if yo...

Cole Bumgarner
Just saw online today that Cole Bumgarner (and his dad, of course) have officially done it: Bumgarner will play for a fifth team in five seasons in 2025-26—as confirmed by him playing for Rogers High School this past weekend in summer high school festival play. Let’s recap Bumgarner’s last five year...

FYI related to this thread: Shakopee announced today that Mike Terwilliger is joining their coaching staff as an assistant.

Re: Official Coaching Openings - 2025-26
There are definitely parents who refuse to see the writing on the wall but to the point of these advisors all having ill intensions, I do not believe that to be the case. Sure they make a living doing this type of work but it could simply be about a kid wanting to extend playing a game he/she loves...

Re: Official Coaching Openings - 2025-26
One thing I think people who say “EP won’t get as many transfers as you think” forget what Lincoln does for a living. Working for an advising group, who more or less shop their unhappy players around to other schools in the offseason (I’ve seen it first hand, not specifically with Hawkeye but advis...

Re: Official Coaching Openings - 2025-26
If you have inside knowledge, then please spill the beans. There are two sides to what seemingly is going on in EP one side destined to bring EP back to its glory days by recognizing kids wanting to transfer in and allowing more say from key knowledgeable community and association members deserves ...

Re: Official Coaching Openings - 2025-26
Yes EP will never go back to its glory years of winning unless this new coach can recruit like a SEC football coach. My thoughts are the AD made a huge mistake with this hiring and the initial reaction will be more abandonment by key families. EP families probably wanted a "higher profile"...

Re: Official Coaching Openings - 2025-26
Spread.... The last time ??? You act like 2021 was 50 years ago.... Yes, I noted that the fall “happened quickly.” It will only get worse. Beginning with last year’s 2nd year peewees, the youth program is completely bottoming out. Crowley’s kid (2nd year peewee last year) “transferred” to Tonka for...

Re: Official Coaching Openings - 2025-26
So I know nothing about him, but I can’t imagine this is how those parents who chased out Twig saw this one playing out like this. The reality is Eden Prairie is a dying program. It’s going the way of other former powerhouses like Burnsville and Bloomington Jefferson. The city is fully developed, t...

Re: Section Changes
The Group of Death I just want to know how they managed to put Rogers *and* Buffalo in that section but not Maple Grove, not that that would’ve been much better. There should not be a possibility let alone a very good chance of top ten teams playing the the section quarterfinal. Rogers and Buffalo ...

Re: Section Changes
This has now been confirmed with team. Austin is in 1AA next year AA back to 64 teams you could now make 8 even numbered 8 team sections again in AA There's gotta be a better system. They were a 7 seed in 1A and lost to Waseca 8-0 in sections Agree team had record year won 17 games last year for so...

Yep. But he gets away with all the crap he does with OMG “because his kid is really good.”headsupsticksdown wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 6:49 pm By the way, Dean is a total dbag and you can quote me on that.

Re: Coaching Changes
I should note Tonka beat Osseo Maple Grove for the Peewee AA state championship in OT. OMG also had three transfers on their team—two from STMA and one from Blaine (it’s widely known these kids got addresses within the OMG boundaries but don’t actually live at those addresses; they still attend sch...

Re: Coaching Changes
Are their kids any good? Yes. Crowley (along with a couple other kids I believe) transferred to Tonka, adding to an already potent lineup for Tonka’s Peewee AA team. They won state last weekend. According to Gamesheet, in the 25 games posted on the app, Crowley had 22 goals and 34 assistants (56 po...

Re: Coaching Changes
I think EP is a sinking ship and the powers that be in the program are bitter about it and looking to blame someone, so they are taking it out on Twigs. The dads of the two best peewee players in EP going into the season—Mike Crowley and Mike Sylvia (who played for Boston University when Crowley pla...

Re: Section Changes
I think it's weird that since the MSHSL got into the business of deciding who "belongs" in A or AA, why it doesn't go both ways? If a program is too economically disadvantaged and unsuccessful to be in AA, then why can't they decide an A program is too economically advantaged and successf...
