While some say Lacombe "didn't give up", he did. Got cut, quit, and Dad found another place to play.

He's the next Bellows- at best

Re: Elite League Livestream: NTDP u17 vs. N & SW

Anybody watch this morning's game? I watched the start but gave up once the Vikings started due to choppy stream. Looks like it was another close game.

GoBigorGoHome I don't disagree at all. Sammy is top 1 or 2 and will perform that way this year. I only discount his chances because no Hornet has ever won, despite a few that were deserving that did not. Recent memory says Dylan Malmquist was the best player in the state and did not win it. I'd arg...

Re: CM - All-Tournament team

I am wondering if anyone knows why Casey didn't show for the All-Tournament team award and picture after the Championship game? Seems odd to me being that he played in the game before. Coupled with him taking off his 2nd place medal last year after the Championship game and not showing this year fo...

If you score on the penalty shot you're still on the PP also. So potentially two goals. Plus you would have more PP time than if you scored late in the 5 on 3.

Re: It's All About Goaltending and Defense

I could not be more wrong in my assumptions of the Lakeville South vs. St. Thomas matchup. I figured this was an easy win for the cadets and that Kelly was a solid enough tender for the win to be all but guaranteed. Holy cow did I underestimate DiLaura and the South defense. I thought picking the u...

Certainly not trying to stir the pot, and the outcome will be no different, but in watching the replay of that final goal, I am not convinced it was in. It looked like it hit the corner of the cross-bar and out. Keep in mind, I had no stakes in the outcome. Not at all disappointed in the outcome of...

Defensemen need not apply.
More likely it's just a sign that there are more standout forwards than defensemen this year (which is true in my opinion).

"I heard it was appealed and they changed the call. So, he'll be playing." "Daddy call the right people?" The answer to that question must certainly be 'yes' -- because referee decisions aren't "appealable" after the fact. The rule book is black-and-white. Other than t...

I was at both games Thursday, but neither on Friday. It will be interesting seeing how EP reacts tonight and if they can bounce back after losing 2 straight competitive games. It's early, but I question if EP is as deep as last years team on the top end (losing Graham to the USHL & Lawrence &am...

In 06-07 the Little Falls trio combined for 314 points.
Jared Festler (sr) 125, Ben Hanowski (so) 111, Beau Hanowski (jr) 78.

In 07-08 Beau had 100 and Ben had 95. 08-09 was Ben's 135 point year.

State record is 135 (Hanowski in 2009). Jaxon Nelson had 124 last year. Meyers is still on a record pace though, but I doubt he maintains for the whole year. That whole line is going to have a monster year. Still doubt anyone can unseat Mittelstadt for Mr. Hockey, especially anyone from Class A.

Edina/Farmington

Anyone know who scored in this one? Stats haven't been posted on the hub for some reason.
