Re: re: Dick Lick etc. decline of western civilization by SS

Kraft and Cullen from Moorhead rank up there as some of the top names.

Wyatt smith is another one. I still remember in 94 the state tournament, a slapshot from the point deflecting off his stick into the net to give warroad the win in overtime.

Re: Best team to have never won the state tournament

I can't recall the exact year, but in the late 80's (86-87-8 Back with Larry Olimb and Chad Erickson, Warroad went undefeated and got insanely upset...

Re: Ch 4 vs Ch 9

Yes Larry Olimb was a great player, i was too young to realize which one he was out on the ice at the time, but from the old state tournament tapes i've seen him play he was fun to watch. You also have to give credit to the goalie at the time to Chad Erickson, he was unbelivable also. Videoscout, ho...

Re: Wcco

I was young(7-8 years old) when WCCO brodcasted the games. And the one thing that I do remember from the brodcasts is the videos. Warroads seemed to always bee filmed in our high school and all I could remember was "gosh i can't wait till I can go to that school" haha, but from what i hear...

Re: Shots

In warroad, the person that does the shots on goal more often than not puts up shots that shouldn't even be counted as shots. They count little ones that say riccochet off the boards that was intended to be an iceing, but hit the net. They've counted shots that hit the goalie but the play was called...

Re: Nicest Venue

Angus Young, I wasn't bashing the Memorial Arena in Hibbing, I've never been there, so i can't say anything, I was talking to the gentleman that was complaining about parking and small lobby and such of the Gardens. I'm sure memorial arena is a great place to play hockey. so why don't YOU get a clue...

Gardens

What is this your talking about? Small lobby? what, and if you take a good look at our boards there are plenty of puck marks on them. Our lobby is one of the biggest i've ever seen. huge glass windows let you watch the game from inside.. the only time we have a problem with parking is during section...

Re: nodak???????

Warroad has one of the nicest weight rooms around, brand new equipment about 5 years or so ago. ice time is getting to be a problem with only 2 rinks, boys and girls high school teams, and the younger ranks plus the islandsers, a senior hockey league team we are running short of room. There has been...
