Re: The Hermantown Thread

Wow, 48 pages? I got through 6 of them and thought I would skip to the end. As a guy who has watched a lot of our kids go over there for the guaranteed trip to state, this obviously hits home. I don't make very many posts on here, but if you're going to take all of these players from outside of your...

Grand Opening is tomorrow, Wednesday, from 4:00-6:00 PM. (Open Skating from 5:00-6:00). Everyone is invited. Bring the family ...

Great for Proctor Hockey but whatever architect put the player boxes on the same side of the already small seating has no idea what they are doing... And locker rooms sharing a hallway and bathrooms with crowd flow + no separate player/ team entrance... If you're going to spend 10 million, have a h...

You should really reconsider the walkway, and no you don't need an elevator to have adequate ADA seating. The ADA seating could go at the corners elevated a couple feet via a ramp and platform. I would think sightlines would be something to take pride in when building a new venue. A walkway in fron...

I'm curious to know what the design is like. When spending that kind of money on a new facility I hope they don't commit tragic errors of some rinks such as putting a walkway between the boards and the first row of seating. The first row should be like at Heritage or the IRA Civic Center, slammed u...

This argument has always really baffled me. I don't see how private schools have any more of an advantage of "recruiting" than the majority of public schools in the state. Any public school with open enrollment (which is the vast majority of the schools in the state) can also try to get p...
