Buffalo Bantam A
I saw them get beat by Hutchinson 4-2 in their last district game. Hutchinson played physical agianst them and Buffalo didn't respond very well. Number 2 is a god player but can be taken off his game just by playng a little body on him. Also saw that their fans were very poor sports as well. Thye sh...

Coasches on the Move
Section 6 would be happy to see weisjohn leave for Armstrong. He has got a lot to learn about coaching. He walked into a great team his frist year at Orono. A team that Kevin Armstrong and the Orono youth association developed. He thought it was going to be a cake walk again this year. He has also s...

Peewee NUmbers
If you are an "A" team and play a competitive schedule you should have at least 9 forwards and 4 or 5 defensemen. At the "A" level they play three 12 to 15 minute stop time periods. If you only have two lines I can't see how you could compete for 3 periods. It would also be ideal...

Multiple Sports
I wish more parents would read these responses. Those that have said Spring League, Summer League, Fall leagues are all about making money for whoever runs the leagues is right on. It is not about player development. All you ever hear pro athletes talk about is how they played multiple sports and be...

Coaches Openings
Blackhawk27 the point is that he is not in it for his kid. Hutch coach knows that his kid is only an average player at this point. Unlike many of the hutch parents who think all their kids are D1 players. Just ask them.

Coaches Openings
Hey smoke just wondering where you get your rumor info. from or are your just blowing smoke like your name implies. I know the coach and can tell you straight up that having his kid play for him has never been a goal of his. Besides he has all ready fullfilled that goal as he helped coach the Peewee...

Favorite sights of Tourney
I too saw the 2 girls from Wayzata. I'm glad they sat at my end of the rink for 2 games. As far a Stutz placing the puck on the face off dot. If you rmember the situation, it was right after a save and things got a little fiesty in the crease. He simply got out of the mess rather then get involved. ...

Class A Tourney
My solution to this problem would be to split up those 5A private schools to different sections. It is a crying shame that the top ranked teams did not make it to state. It obvioiusly would make a better state tourney. But the second have of my soultion would be to make all the private schools play ...

Playing in the Big Show
I was fortunate enough to play in the "Biggest Show" in 1980 when it was still a one class tournament. I played for the Grand Rapids Indians. We became State Champions that year. There was nothing better then playing at the old Civic Center with the glass boards. You were treated like roya...

How about Larry Olimb. The kid never came off the ice the entire state tournament when he played. He was Warroad at the time.

Best and Worst Rinks
I would have to concur with what has all ready been said about the rink in Northfield. I can't imagine college teams playing there. How about some of you old schoolers. Any of you remember the Shakopee bubble. The last game I saw in there, there was no PA system, the clock went out in the last half ...
