The Phase 1 draft for (98's only) happens May 5th, the only issue is there are not to many 16 and 17 year olds in the USHL, so in reality these top 98 players are a couple years away from that option. There are exceptions, but very few. The NT...

Badgermom -I follow the entire US 97-99 group, have been for the last two years as it is my job to know this group. I have seen Omaha play at least 20X, I also have contacts on just about every team in AAA hockey and High School hockey so yes, I do know which guys play prominent roles. With the exce...

Congrats to all of these players, there are always tough decisions that are made when picking this group. My comments below are not intended to say any of these players are better than the others, again, tough decisions for sure. Just head scratchers for me. How are these guys left off the invite? A...

I believe starting in 2016, the NCAA has implemented rules that to even qualify for an athletic scholarship you will need to have a minimum of a 2.3 GPA in core classes. This does not include any courses except the core courses: Math, Science, English. The current system I believe is 2.0 GPA for Cor...

More Clarification
Actually Omaha is ranked #2 in the country and Honey Baked is ranked #1. Rankings come out every Wednesday. WI is ranked #4. Yes you can argue about the top 10-20 teams, but from my viewings in the age group, HB and Omaha are the cream of the crop so far. www.myhockeyrankings.com Omaha & HB met ...

Great post TEO, I just didn't get what you were trying to say. I actually think you summed it up very well in this last post. I do agree with you 100% that this kid made the right choice. I'm not sure we are so different on our opinions, I really think the choice to go WHL or NCAA is dependent on ea...

Not the Dad, but have been watching the player closely over the past 1.5 years as it is my job and have met the family many times. No one will ever know if he would have been the starter or not for sure, but my sources tell me, absolutley, not even close. Some people just have a hard time being post...

98 Goalie Update
Just saw that Cole Weaver from Champlin Park was protected yesterday by the Prince Albert Raiders (WHL) and he is confirmed to go to their camp at the end of August. He is not signed, nor is it likely they would sign (if offered) this early. Also to follow up with a previsous question, he is not ret...
