Not condoning what the BSM players started but they were upset by the blown call of the officials on the goal. BSM thought there were too many men on the ice. If you go to the 1:27 mark of the KSTP video, I count 6 players celebrating that goal http://kstp.com/news/stories/s3713444.shtml. Poor offi...

Unbiased opinion. Anyone who sees what I post knows I am not from the cities and knows I played the game. EP had the game. They smothered the puck on the sideboards with 3-5 seconds left. Anyone who has played the game knows it is impossible to score in this scenario. This is frustrating for BSM. T...

A college degree is not a way to say that you are a success or not. Worth noting that a bachelor degree isn't what it used to be.. College grads make nearly twice as much as non-college grads. This is just a fact backed up by a source, not an opinion about pursing a hockey career. I just thought it...

Re: They broadcast the wrong game Saturday night
It really is a shame that the Class 2A 3rd place game between Eden Prairie and Eagan wasn't broadcast, or that more of the fans who could have watched the game live using their Session 6 ticket didn't do so. Not just because it was a far better game to watch than the Championship Game, with dramati...

It would be nice if the high school league would let them play in the tournament and then send the tournament winner to the USA hockey national championships for midget aaa but that might expose how overrated high school hockey is  Dead wrong: the top 5-10 teams here would do great in the AA...

Re: Question about Shattuck...
You assume incorrectly. First of all, Edina would most likely beat their prep team 7 times out of ten. Second, the MSHSL has a lot of rules the SSM would not want to abide by because they would conflict with their business model. Simple as that. No. SSM beat Benilde 8-1 this year and went 11-3-1 in...

Cuz that's the rule. But, the Benilde AD has already shown he's unethical I'm in complete agreement that it's slimey, but it's common knowledge that there are ways around the MSHSL eligibility rules. If they've changed residences, their in. Another family did the same thing last year - moved about ...

minnscout, Good ethical behavior requires all parties follow the rules and do the right thing. The rule says players are free to enroll as a 9th graders. Your comparison isn't a good one. The Benilde AD has shown he bends the rules to favor good hockey players at the expense of other players alread...

I hope he likes to block shots and play boring hockey C'mon Minnscout. The West Coast BSM offense (bounce puck off glass/cross defensive zone passes to speeding Besse/Labosky combined with a five man forecheck) was effective against North Suburban opponents, you are independent now and no longer ha...

Word on the street is Wayzata landed a pretty talented kid from Cleveland Yes I sat next to him at the State tournament and talked to him about moving to Minnesota. They did not move to Minnesota for hockey but they moved for his dads job. However they did a lot of research on where to move to and ...

For those who were disappointed with how it went last year...are there better pre-season alternatives for the kids who didn't get an invit...

Yar, I don't really get why LaValle isn't a bigger draw. 50+ point scorer on the state runner-up team, captain, multi-sport stud, not a huge kid but bigger than many -- Right? One is forced to speculate. Is there something off-the-ice that scouts or coaches don't like about him? Is it because he pe...

While the private schools are the opposite; more star players than not. Very true for a few private schools, notably HM and BSM. But other private schools have consistently weak hockey programs with only the very occasional star player. Most privates fall somewhere in between. Thanks. Actually not ...

Get over it. Look at the rosters of the big public schools. Edina, EP, Wayzata ect a number of their top players over the last few years have all transferred and knocked a long time player out of a spot. Really? Name six players that transferred to those three schools the last two years combined. I...

Who cares about a misspelled word doesn't change the fact that Hill and other schools pay kids to play to get thier name on TV even the ones going after me know its true. And i did go to a private school maybe thats why it pisses me off. When these schools sell out thier long time students for some l...

Percentage wise he is close Baer scored 5 goals in 19 games and logged a very good amount of ice time. So not that big of a dealBluewhitefan wrote:So Baer scored just one goal for BSM this year?minnscout wrote:Baer scored about as many goals in the WHL as he did for Benilde and he played only 5 games in the WHL.
