STA started their #1 goalie and he got yanked mid-first period after giving up 3 goals on 6 shots. Then their #2 played rest of the game.

The best 'team' won tonight - a deserved win for the Raiders. STA has more skill but when they continue to be a bunch of individuals and not play for each other they are a very average, small team. They will go no where in Sections because its a 'me first' attitude. CDH, Eagan, and obviously Eastvie...

With no Coliseum, Como Park is scheduling ALL 25 games next season as 'away' games. Practices may be outside at North Dale rink.

Not a great scenario for any current peewee's / bantam's in St Paul.

This may not be a surprise to the northern TC crowd but I was really impressed with how fast, big and balanced Blaine is. That is a solid team and even though its early, looks to have all the right pieces in place now.

Blaine versus STA scrimmage yesterday was a blow out going the Bengals way. Blaine is big and fast with 3 solid lines. The first line I would categorize as one of the tops in the State. They will be fun to watch this year. On the other hand, STA looked typically small and fast but got pushed around ...

Great venue! Walked right up to ticket window at 5:55 no problem but remember, in a good way, how packed those games used to be. BSM looked less hungry than last year and their 2nd line played with much more intensity than the 1st. Besse has checked out and played only one direction. Wayzata wanted ...

ESPG I think you're right, they are an average team and raised the bar when they won State in '06. Thought they were close to becoming a consistent Top 10 team and would get the Roseville or Woodbury kids versus HM or STA. But from what I've seen the past few years is that the coaches don't care or ...

CDH - Time for a Change?

Anyone have any insight at what been happening at Cretin? Seems like a once proud program (ala Holy Angels) has an aging coach reluctant to change. Record of 41-30-8 the past 3 season and early exits in Sections. From the outside looking in the St Paul hockey kids from Nativity, St Joe's, St Marks a...

Its hard to imagine any possible scenario in which Eagan coughs this one up. Scoring goes to Wildcats. Defense goes to Wildcats. Goaltending to Lighting. Would be a good game to watch at any arena in the State except the morgue known as the Coliseum. Snooze fest. The drive to Duluth to see East vers...

Eagan, for example, will be losing players who scored over 80% of the goals. The JV is awful and the Bantams are even worse. Their cute 3 year run is over. Eastview and Apple Valley have a declining population. Expect younger programs with strong Bantams to take over - like Rosemount and Farmington.

TG's lack of quality teams on their schedule has caught up to them, and even though they played their backup goalie STA dominated every aspect of the game. I'm sure it will be a different story if they both make it to the section final...STA be careful what you wish for as they learned last year ANY...

If Eagan hits everything in sight, it's another cake walk for them. Bville will have will to tighten its chin straps to show they belong on the same sheet of ice. If they play selfish hockey again it will be over early.
