I'm still lurking too, but not much discussion going on. Looking forward to the season, although we have the whole fall season to get through first. Looks like HeadsUp was right... https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/taylee_manion2 Personal Statement Hi! My name is Taylee Manion. This year I will be...

Appeals for AA schools requesting to be bumped down are being held today, October 6. Tomorrow, October 7, schools will be notified of the determination. Section alignment will then be on the agenda at the December 3 Board Meeting for approval. Does the section alignment impact this upcoming season ...

Unfortunate, but the world isn't going to end because of it. At a minimum Goldy should have made himself available IMO.

Tucker Johnson for sure. So one is a bunch in your world. I don’t know the players’ names. The only reason I am naming Johnson is because even the announcers named him. Whoever knocked the stick out of Moorhead player as he was picking it up as time was expiring that preceded the stuff at the...

bardown27 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 17, 2026 10:06 am According to Legacy article, after the seeding by all the coaches, STA and Rosemount had the same final rank, so they used an online spinning wheel to determine the 1 seed.

I missed this article, did this cross the ethical line?

Dirty goals. Which actually isn't an HM specialty as these girls like pretty plays. It isn't the goals tonight. Its the goaltending and defense clearing second chances. That's been the difference. I said it last night. Centennial had it all go there way. So far tonight, that hasn't repeated. You we...

A couple of interesting all-tournament selections & omissions.

It's absolutely nuts to put Rosemount ahead of STA. To suggest Rosemount is the favorite to win that section is asinine and embarrassing. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of a small mind. No wonder these are the people who, twenty years ago, would suspend a first grader for pointing a carrot ...

Generally, it’s probably best to avoid parent coaches at the high school level when you can. That said, if the alternative is someone who’s half-engaged with a mediocre or dated understanding the game, then a knowledgeable, experienced and committed parent might actually be the better option. Like e...

I am very well versed in the girls high school hockey scene. And yes from an outside perspective it would seem to work well for the H-M girls. They are a loaded team that has had a ton of success. With that being said even in that situation it is not as clear cut as it may seem. Calling Johnny Pohl...

I don’t mind the change. Coming home from work to watch a 1/8 blowout hasn’t exactly been inspiring.

Fixed it for you

Parity continues to increase, which is good to see.

Any chance you have one for the 25-26 season?

The one still at Woodbury tore her ACL and is out for the year, the other one went to "greener pastures" for her final run since her sister was out for the year and the team at Woodbury was now considered "lesser than" I have to believe there's more to it than this. There's just...

Here is my take on AA:

1) HM
2) Cent/SLP
3) Edina
4) HF
5) Tonka
6) MG
7) BSM
8 ) Farmington
9 ) Roseau
10) Andover

I believe there are 6-8 schools you could put in the 9-10 spots.

Kimbrel - Orono --> Holy Family

Well one of the Gnetz is at Centennial and the other is at Woodbury. Which is crazy. And they are both on the cover of the breakdown mag. I mean does it even matter anymore? Honestly. The high school league will do nothing about any transfers so at this point it's a dead issue. Free range is the ne...

New season is upon us, what are the major transfers that have occurred this year?
