Not sure why people would think New Ulm isn't the team to beat. Defending section champs, won't let a SWC team beat them and sorry but Hutch isn't a state caliber team.

Our New Ulm Eagles have players from 3 private schools, New Ulm Cathedral, MVL, and Sleepy St Mary's along with 3 public schools New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, and Springfield. Very surprised by the score tonight. I really thought this was more of a mismatch. But - think this is the year that the Eagles gain some respect at the state tournament!.

The tournament is set up in a fashion that gives the Eagles a great advantage. Three reasons why they will win Friday.

1. They are AA playing in A tournament

2. They are a private school team

3. They have been on ESPN

Pretty confident that the Eagles will secure the #1 seed with a victory in Marshall tonight. My guess is a 3 goal victory in the area of 6-3. We are getting close to tournament time and that is when the Eagles play their best. The tough schedule pays off starting tonight!

Litchfield/DC will win with solid D and plays a tougher regular season so will be ready for tonight's game. I'm guessing 5-1, the Tigers are slipping in the net.

The Tigers had a bad night but that is probably what they are. New Ulm out worked the Tigers and will get them next time.
