I know of a few kids going on family trips (Disney World, cruise) - these kids, I totally understand forgoing the Great 8. For those going to Mexico to 'sow their oats' and 'legally drink' - hmmm - not sure where the dedication is. Not sure attending/not attending the Great 8 will determine their ho...

Sats 81........ ummm Lakeville SOUTH played last night........ .and stand by my statement concerning the North/South game. Schoemacher played a great game last night for South! Oh, they did? So LN lost the section final bc of their goalie hah? Had nothing to do with their slow, undisciplined defens...

North's loss last night to South was a total team effort. Yes, goaltending was an issue, but the defense/offense didn't play well, either. There were many missed passes, very few face-off wins, turnovers, and again, the penalties. It's all too easy to always blame the goaltender - yes, this goalie h...

Aside from the obvious of goaltending, the biggest factor is having all aspects of a team show up - goaltending, defense, and offense. The teams on top this year have had more games where EVERYONE shows up for the same game. The teams not at the top have had more games where goaltending is good, but...

Maybe the coach has a wife, family and enjoys other interests. He gets paid to coach the HS team and that's were he should spend his energy. Many associations don't want the hs coach involved, if they do, he should be paid for his time. Where is the line drawn between being involved and not involve...

If Lakeville North can get any type of solid goaltending in the Sections, they could surprise some folks........including the State tourney if they are fortunate enough to get there. Younger players stepping up. Juniors playing at a high level and top senior players playing as they should. They got...

Hermantown 4-3. Cloquet's goalie will keep them in it, but Hermantown will prevail.

Not sure why all the ragging on Eagan. Agree with Sats - they are a complete team, and one of the best defensive teams in the state today. Let them have their year - they deserve it. With seniors Zajac, Merchant, and goalie Butler all leaving, things will not be as easy for them in the future.

Saw North vs AV - didn't see much from Winiecki - didn't see much from anyone except North's goalie Hart - looked solid. Where'd he come from - thought they didn't have anything in the net with Lindgren gone? 32 shots vs 11 shots? That pretty much sums it up for North....

I was at that game too, and agree with most of above except goaltending - South's goaltending was much better. Frosh goalie for Eagan was pretty out of his element - he will be fine, as he is a Lindgren and it was his first varsity start - but South goalie did much better. Kloos was out there most o...
