Pohl was great on Wed. He's likely one and done though after filling in for the professor (who was feeling better as of last night).

"I heard it was appealed and they changed the call. So, he'll be playing." "Daddy call the right people?" The answer to that question must certainly be 'yes' -- because referee decisions aren't "appealable" after the fact. The rule book is black-and-white. Other than th...

SPA's ability to repeat will be diminished by their top player and second leading scorer being out for the next 3 games. He got his 2nd ejection of the season in the last game (and whether it was for cross-checking, or fake headbutting, or gesturing/spitting while leaving the ice, it doesn't matter)...

Sure. But you're on this bored a lot and you're a decent writer -- so certainly you know the difference between rumor and fact.

Factually speaking, the team's 2nd leading scorer left her school and transfered to this team for her senior year. And the 4th leading scorer came down from Duluth a couple yrs ago. Remembering how they got to state two years ago with their emails, do any of these stories surprise anybody?

Yep, and although the story doesn't mention it, ref is a donor to the school, and their kid used to played there. Ooof. Ever if it had no effect, it looks bad for SPU considering that they tied the game on the PP, then won the game on the PP. http://www.mngirlshockeyhub.com/news_article/show/614390?...

Pepper, AAADad, HansonBro: you all were right. Tipler-StPaul United shoulda sent an anonymous email on the day before the section final again! If he truly cared about the integrity of the sport/playoff bracket, last year's email of twitter screen shots and real estate records would've and could've b...

HansonBro: ignore that other chatter, you nailed it. At this point, only a self-serving e-mail like the one from Tipler-St Paul United last year can save the day now. But remember, do not bust that e-mail out until the eve of the section final like he did! If you expose the cheaters too early, you m...

As a great man once said, "Listen, man. You're my friend, and I know you care about me. And I know you disapprove, and I respect that. But there are some things that I have to do that you don't understand. You understand literature, movies, wine... but you don't understand my plight." 'Nu...

Good question: Why does feel like a discussion about a commodity? Answer: It feels that way because that's what it is. For a moment, abandon the discussion re: the text of the MSHSL rule, and focus on the underlying issue of the thread: the recruiting done by SSP and other teams. And that recruiting...

South Saint Cowtown definitely must bring in some new recruits, as last year's top-scoring forward (an Inver Grove Heights kid) is graduating. Their new goalie from Albert Lea took them pretty far last season, though! She'll just need a few more outsiders from the West Metro to help get the job done...
