Rosemount vs. Woodbury result tonight may have big impact on 'bottom 6' seeding. Interesting to see if any of the 6 can knock off one of the top 4. Woodbury 3 Rosemount 2 Here we were talking about Rosemount being a potential 5 seed, but now they might be looking at a play-in game next Tuesday agai...

It would appear the Eagan win solidifies CDH/STA in top 2 spots and EV/Eagan in next 2. Question now is what order for each of the 2 groups? If 'how you finish' is more important than 'how you started' then STA could have an argument for #1 and Eagan for #3. Obviously we'll know by Sunday... Just c...

With Eastview tying rosemount and CDH beating east ridge (going undefeated in section play), what does this mean for seeding? It should mean nothing for seeding 1 - 4. We heard this same argument last year, and looked what happened. Being undefeated in section play would mean more if CDH played mor...

Karl has 1-4 summarized well...too bad STA only has one section game to reference but the bottom line is all 4 will be hosting qtr final games...which they've easily earned. 5-10 will be largely impacted by upcoming Hastings-Park and Wdby-Rsmnt games. Despite a 1-0 loss to Wdby last night, ER's 6-3-...

This probably needs its own thread, but... While I've got nothing against this player individually or any other who chooses this approach, does the notion that a kid only needs to attend the school they play for from mid-Nov. to mid-Mar. in order to participate rub anyone else the wrong way? Just do...

Bottom line for me: - I'm ok with any call: from behind; in a dangerous position along the boards; initiating with the stick; to the head; on a man without the puck except if you're locked on and pushing him (ie. clearing the crease) - those things said, if you have the puck in the open ice I think ...

Re: Rule Changes?
“No player shall deliver a check to an unsuspecting and vulnerable player.” This addition was implemented to eliminate blind-side hits from the sport as well as to stress legal body-checking. “This helps protect the defenseless player,” Schuster said. “The committee is striving to take these danger...

So if in a book means it is true, personally have never had a kid go to a private school but it had opportunity would rather send kid to private vs public. next thing someone will say if on the internet it is true heck then someone with state obamacare is not costing me anything... 3AA 5 Eagan (16) Cretin-Derham Hall (20) Eastview East Ridge -If Eagan takes care of Eastview, this section should be pretty much set. The Wildcats are the favorite, improving Cretin is the clear #2, and Eastview hangs in there as an upset threat at #3. If the Lightning pull off a second upset, Cre...

Great topic...agree with many thoughts already expressed, especially the challenges of speed and 'player interdependence' with respect to any measure accurately depicting performance/value. Some experiences/thoughts of my own: - Need to be careful of mixing too many numbers when it comes to 'individ...
