Spirited discussion, mostly good-natured, with just a bit of an edge here and there. That's what makes this board an interesting read. Disclosure: I was pulling for North, just to see some shake-up in the landscape. North broke down (to put it mildly), and can learn from this experience. Regarding ...

Not sure why everyone is so caught up about the transfers to LN. Look at it this way. If Lakeville had not split into two schools, they would have roughly the same enrollment as EP, Wayzata, etc. If you're truly concerned about kids in Lakeville losing an opportunity to play because of transfers, t...

There's some recent history with North that isn't all that pleasant. The way the whole thing ended for their former coach and how the new coach came rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. It is what it is though. In 1AA they brought maybe 50 students to the championship game, pretty sad, Farmington ...

Re: 1AA Lakeville North vs Farmington
North has definitely earned all the accolades this season, but this could potentially be a very close game. These two teams didn't meet during the regular season, but the players have faced each other countless times throughout their association years in District 8. There is, without question, a ri...

Re: f
Agreed...not to mention LN was missing two key players with seperated shoulders courtesy of an Eagan hack (I'm refraning from naming names) and one key forward spent a lot of time in the bathroom...just sayin'. Only time will tell. Let's let the boys settle this one. Are those the same two kids who...

Re: f
Losing 1-0 to a decent Prior Lake team doesn't automatically drop North from the top spot...the reality is that there's 5 or 6 teams in the TOP TIER..you can rank them anyway you want, it really doesn't matter they're all in the same league... Agreed...not to mention LN was missing two key players ...

There is no comparison between these schedules. There are 10 other AA teams with schedules more difficult than Hill Murray's. Seriously - 4 single A teams on the schedulle. Must be great for players stats. I'd be curious to see a comparison of the teams' non-conference schedules. Edina/EP/Wayzata/T...

That was some of the best $6 entertainment I've seen this winter. It was a very even game until East ran out of gas midway through the third, and even then they hung in there, with Howg making some big saves and a few attempts at tips that just missed. Whatever East does to prepare for the first fe...

Am officially on Lakeville Norths bandwagon!! Beating the Hounds in Duluth is no easy task........ Now we'll see if the Panthers can get past Eagan and Prior Lake in their last 2 games heading into Sections. It was a GREAT game in a beautiful rink...I actually thought that there would be even more ...

Re: Lakeville North Strikes again
Ron, it was not just a "hockey camp." My kid was there as well. The goalie was on the bench helping open the door and a boy hopped over and it was just bad luck. You are correct - It wasn't "just" a hockey camp - the Goalie was drafted by the Portland Winterhawks and that's why ...

i think this thread was started by someone that thought LN was going to be good and surprise some teams.. the cinderella dress is off and LN can't hide. it is one of the best teams in the state. the time for other teams to take them lightly should be in the past…. now, when it plays top teams they ...

Im a little late on this conversation...With all do respect the LN Freshmen goalie is doing a good job, with that said, he was asked to come to Lakeville! As a freshmen in Farmington he would be back-up on Varsity, not bad for a freshmen! But a couple of people here in lakeville sweetened the pot a...

North Goalie
For the record...the freshmen didn't have to open enroll...his Dad lives in North territory. He's played with the same boys for the last 5 summers and from what I heard - the decision was his. Better competition = better Goalie.
And didn't the senior goalie transfer in last year?

How will it all work from the schools point of view - is there anything they can/would do for his representation? Suspension, etc. - or are they likely to not become involved? This team has enough to make a scare in the weak section. Go Tigers! He got a 10 day suspension...probably to save him from...

I can't imagine one situation where his team mates of probably 12 or more years would deserve that type of behavior, no matter what the details are. I'm afraid of what this players future holds... Hockey's a game full of life lessons that hopefully help you prepare for life after high school. That ...

Wow... they beat the icemen and won the warrior cup in a shoot out......they must be super super elite then. I am not saying they are not good and I have no problem with the kids on the team I am just trying to prove a point that just because you think your elite and spout off to everyone about how...
