what happened at SLP? The head coach stepped down after a group of parents/players complained to the school and made up lies about him, and yes, most of the players that whined were not regular players. The head coach has better things to do then deal with this crap going on right now in youth sports.

SWPrez Thanks for your input, I guess the intent of the rule VS how it can be viewed are up to each, making sure a kid who truly moves due to his family work situation VS hey I want to play AA hockey are not in the same boat, one is forced to move HS's the other was not, correct?. More curiosity tha...

SWPrez you seem to have good info regarding BSM, regarding the topic of transfers, how is BSM getting away with the HS Varsity players going there from another HS Varsity team with no penalty? looks like there has been Blake kids making the jump and a Totino kid all going Varsity to Varsity (maybe o...

Instead of looking at which is better, I look at it as a great time to be a young hockey player. Great options to play if your an early bloomer as well as a late bloomer, mix in Major Juniors for those who want. It's a great day to be a youth hockey player, of course they will have to put the work i...

with only one HS varsity team it will be hard to tell if this will work, mainly due to you won't see a lot of them play Varsity, so maybe you'll see a great JV program or more Jr. Gold A teams among the top?. I've always wondered how they keep so many of their 4th and 5th liners when they most likel...

Shinbone - missing the point, nobody has a crystal ball into the future, just use the NHL draft as an example the point is people have choices to follow any path they want, not just the ones that a coach decides is best for him. I don't think there is a promise land for any of the directions the kid...

#10 BSM and the Goals of MN Hockey
I think this situation and others like it need to be talked about. is the MN hockey system built to teach, prepare and promote kids for the next level? who's interest was in mind while being kicked off the team? because he drew attention from a level above? got asked to come visit the team and talk ...

For those that agree with him being kicked off the team due to what he might do next year (you know he didn't get kicked off for 1 miss), you now are agreeing with those associations who take care of their own puplic community players over those kids who are moving to greener pastures. Whats good fo...

according to MYhockeyrankings SSM is #1 for 18U Tier 1 http://myhockeyrankings.com/index.php So I don't think it's that SSM is over-rated, it's MN HS hockey must be under-rated. I did watch the game it begs one question from me, I wonder how many HS teams MN could send to the National Tier 1 Tourney...

I spoke with John Perry (MNH VP of Maroon Districts) and he gave me the impression that each association was free to do whatever they felt best.
