Johnson is a chippy team. I saw them play Greenway and their after the whistle cheap shots never ended. A dirty hit put one Greenway player out for the rest of the season. They started a fight at the end of the game where two Johnson players (no Greenway players) were ejected. A Johnson player jump...

So kids from say North Branch/Chisago want to play AA they can skate in FL w/o a waiver ? Is that correct??? Or do they still have to open enroll ??? This whole A/AA split is a joke. D10 took it on to make the little guys feel good about playing at the A level even tho teams like Mora/Coon Rapids/C...

Centennial is lurking in the shadows...Watch out for them at state! Not sure about that one, their team has improved but goaltending is still an issue, and the one thing you need to make a run is good goaltending. Agree with Chuck on this one. If you can get past their D, you have a good ch...

On top of it I'm surprised it was a board member. They're usually the smartest people in the association. Would like to here the other side of the story.. I know the guy and its not really in his character.. Anything is possible tho.. Agree 100%, but sadly people have more fun assumin...

Re: SLP takes their mite hockey very seriously

Just returned from the rink after watching my son play in a mite game against Spring Lake Park. Nothing really noteworthy except I was able to witness just how seriously SLP takes their mite hockey. As most everyone knows we do not keep scores or assess penalties in mite hockey. Usually we play sto...

Re: Congratulations 2000 Legacy

On winning the Stars and Stripes Open Tournament. The fact that you had to leave a bunch of rostered kids at home and brought in a few non-rostered kids to get'r done really means nothing. I mean it was an open tournament after all. Display that trophy proudly coach. Curious, how do you know they b...

First of all I think you mean association, not district, but if an association doesn't offer A level of play the player is supposed to stay in the same District and play with the closest neighboring association that does offer A level of play. But, as for your question, High Performance 15s is base...

Rockcrusher.... He's a Bloomington boy and a BSM student.... district affiliation based on home address rather than winter season team. Bloomington = D6. Nuff said. No worries. All is forgiven. If an association doesn't offer an A team and a kid waivers out to a different district, does that mean t...

Um, just the facts: The Centennial head coach does NOT have a kid on the team. He is 30 years' old. Nice tap dancing. Not a head coach, but how about the asst. coach? Don't bother answering with another show about the facts only please garbage, it really doesn't matter. The head coach still didn't ...

Just the facts, please. 1. The Centennial head coach is a nonparent coach. The player was not his child. 2. The Centennial coach sought guidance from a district official, not Tim Timm. 3. Based on the enquiry, the coach believed the player was eligible to play in the game against SLP. 4.  No one as...

Thank you Spring Lake Park and Legacy coach for the clarification. Perhaps there was some confusion because the game misconduct was handed out in the last league game and there was confusion whether the game misconduct carried over to the playoffs. How do you know the coach didn't ask his Board for...

Does it matter what the reason was, rules are rules. Just to make a few of you happy, here is what was said. The kid got in a fight in the previous game. D10 dropped the ball on this one, along with the kids head coach for allowing him to play.

D10 - PWA. Worth mentioning, the kid also scored at least 2 goals. One of the top players on the team.

Goal tending was not a factor. Both goalies looked good, but not a lot of shots either way. SLP controlled the puck better for most of them game. Good game, could have gone either way.
